لَّا وَهُوَ وَهُوَ ﴿١٠٣﴾

Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Acquainted.

چشم‌ها او را نمی‌بینند

دلایل عقلی گواهی می‌دهد که خداوند هرگز با چشم سر دیده نمی‌شود؛ زیرا چشم تنها اجسام - یا بعضی از کیفیات آنها - را می‌بیند و چیزی که جسم نیست و کیفیت جسم را هم نداره هرگز با چشم مشاهده نخواهد شد. به تعبیر دیگرء اگر چیزی با چشم دیده شودء حتما باید ماده و دارای مکان و جهت باشد؛ در حالی که خداوند. برتر از همه اینهاست. او وجودی نامحدود است و به همین دلیل» برتر از چهان ماده است؛ زیرا در جهان ماده» همه چیز محدود است. در بسیاری از یات قرآن - از جمله آیاتی که در بارة بنی‌اسرائیل و تقاضای روّیت خداوند سخن می‌گوید - با صراحت کامل امکان ریت خداوند نفی شده است. در روایات اهل بیت(ع) نیز این عقیده نفی شده و با تعبیرات کوبندهای از معتقدان ان انتقاد کَردیده است. یکی از یاران معروف امام صادق(ع) به نام «هشام» می‌گوید: نزد امام صادق(ع) بودم که معاویة بن وَهّب - یکی دیگر از دوستان آن حضرت -وارد شد و گفت: ای فرزند پیامبر» چه می‌گویی در بارة روایتی که در بارةٌ پیامبر خدا وارد شده که او خداوند را دید؟ به چه صورت دید؟ و همچنین روایت دیگری که از آن حضرت نقل شده که موْمنان در بهشت» پروردگار خود را می‌بینند. به چه شکلی خواهند دید؟! امام صادق(ع) تبسم (تلخی) کرد و فرمود: «ای معاویة بن وهب, چقدر زشت است که انسان هفتاد - هشتاد سال عمر کند و در ملک خدا زندگی نماید و از نعمت‌های او تناول کند؛ ولی او را - آن گونه که شایستةٌ اوست - نشناسد! ای معاویه, پیامبر(ص) هرگز پروردگار را با این چشم مشاهده نکرد. مشاهده بر دو گونه است: مشاهدةٌ با چشم دل و مشاهدةٌ با چشم ظاهر. هر کس مشاهدةٌ با چشم دل را بگوید» درست گفته و هر کس مشاهدةٌ با چشم سر را بگوید. دروغ گفته و به خدا و آیات او کافر شده است؛ زیرا پیامبر(ص) فرمود: هر کس خدا را شبیه آفریدگانش بداند. کافر است.»!
