حرکت سایه‌ها

در این آَیات» سخن از نعمت سایه‌ها به میان آمده است. بدون شک قسمت نخست آیات که می‌فرماید «الم تر الی ربک کیف مد الظل» اشاره‌ای به اهمیت نعمت سایه‌های گسترده و متحرک است؛ سایه‌هایی که یکنواخت باقی نمی‌ماند؛ بلکه در حرکت است و نقل مکان می‌کند. از سیاق آیات بر می‌آید که منظور از گستردن سایه, گسترش سایةٌ بعد از ظهر است که به تدریج از طرف مغرب به سوی مشرق رو به زیادی می گذارد تا آنجا که آفتاب به کرانة افق رسیده غروب کند. در این هنگامء امتداد به آخر می‌رسد و شب می‌شود. این سایه در همةٌ احوالش در حرکت است و اگر خدا می‌خواست, آن را ساکن قرار می‌داد. سپس می‌فرماید خداوند خورشید را بر وجود این سای گسترده دلیل قرار داده است؛ اشاره به این که اگر آفتاب نبود» مفهوم سایه روشن نمی‌شد. در یه ۶ نیز به نعمت بزرگ دیگری در کنار نعمت سایه‌ها اشاره شده و آن برچیده شدن تدریجی آنهاست. اگر انتقال از نور به ظلمت یا بر عکس آن» ناگهانی صورت می‌گرفتء همه موجودات زیان می‌دیدند؛ اما این انتقال تدریحی چنان است که بیشترین فایده را برای موجودات در پی دارد؛ بی‌آن که ضرری داشته باشد.
