وَإِن عَلَيْكُمْ لَا فِيكُمْ وَلَا ﴿٨﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

How [can there be a treaty] while, if they gain dominance over you, they do not observe concerning you any pact of kinship or covenant of protection? They satisfy you with their mouths, but their hearts refuse [compliance], and most of them are defiantly disobedient.

Tafsīr

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

بی‌اعتنایی مشرکان به خویشاوندی

منظور از بخش اول این آیه این است که قریش اگر چه خویشاوند پیامبر و گروهی از مسلمانان هستندء هنگامی که خودشان کمترین اعتنایی به این موضوع ندارند و احترام خویشاوندان را رعایت نمی‌کنند.ء چگونه انتظار دارند پیامبر(ص) و مسلمانان در مورد آنها رعایت کنند. شبیه همین مطلب» در دو أَیةٌ بعد تکرار شده است. منظور از این تکرار» علاوه بر تأکیدء این است که در آَیةٌ ۸ سخن از یاران پیامبر و مسلمانانی بود که در اطراف و گرداگرد او بودند؛ ولی در این آیه سخن از هر فرد باایمان است؛ یعنی شما در نظر آنها اهمیتی ندارید؛ بلکه آنها با هرکس که موّمن و پیرو آیین توحید باشد» سر دشمنی دارند و ملاحظة هیج جیز را نمی کنند. پس اینها دشمن ایمان و حقاند. این مطلب، نظیر همان جیزی است که در آَیةٌ ۸ سورة بروج دربارة بعضی از اقوام گذشته آمده است: «آنها هیچ ایرادی بر موْمنان نداشتند جز این که به خداوند عزیز و حمید ایمان آورده بودند.»!

  • إِن يَثْقَفُوكُمْ يَكُونُوا۟ لَكُمْ أَعْدَآءً وَيَبْسُطُوٓا۟ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَلْسِنَتَهُم بِٱلسُّوٓءِ وَوَدُّوا۟ لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ

    If they gain dominance over you, they would be to you as enemies and extend against you their hands and their tongues with evil, and they wish you would disbelieve.

  • وَإِن نَّكَثُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَطَعَنُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ فَقَٰتِلُوٓا۟ أَئِمَّةَ ٱلْكُفْرِ إِنَّهُمْ لَآ أَيْمَٰنَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنتَهُونَ

    And if they break their oaths after their treaty and defame your religion, then fight the leaders of disbelief, for indeed, there are no oaths [sacred] to them; [fight them that]…

  • لَا يُقَٰتِلُونَكُمْ جَمِيعًا إِلَّا فِى قُرًى مُّحَصَّنَةٍ أَوْ مِن وَرَآءِ جُدُرٍۭ بَأْسُهُم بَيْنَهُمْ شَدِيدٌ تَحْسَبُهُمْ جَمِيعًا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ شَتَّىٰ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ

    They will not fight you all except within fortified cities or from behind walls. Their violence among themselves is severe. You think they are together, but their hearts are…

  • فَمَنِ ٱبْتَغَىٰ وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْعَادُونَ

    But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors -

  • وَإِن تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ لَا يَتَّبِعُوكُمْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ أَدَعَوْتُمُوهُمْ أَمْ أَنتُمْ صَٰمِتُونَ

    And if you [believers] invite them to guidance, they will not follow you. It is all the same for you whether you invite them or you are silent.
