And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, punishment would have been an obligation [due immediately], and [if not for] a specified term [decreed].

Were it not for a prior decree of your Lord and a specified time, [their doom] would have attended [their guilt].

And but for a decree that had already gone forth from thy Lord, and a term already fixed, the judgment would have been inevitable (in this world).

Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, (their punishment) must necessarily have come; but there is a Term appointed (for respite).

And but for a word that preceded from thy Lord, and a stated term, it had been fastened.

و اگر سنت و روشی از پروردگارت [نسبت به تأخیر افتادن عذاب از آنان] نگذشته بود و نیز مدتی که [برای زندگی آنان] مشخص و معین شده است، قطعاً عذاب خدا بدون تأخیر بر آنان لازم و حتم می شد.

و اگر سخنی از پروردگارت پیشی نگرفته و موعدی معین مقرر نشده بود، قطعاً [عذاب آنها] لازم می‌آمد.

Eğer Rabbinin verilmiş bir sözü ve tayin ettiği bir süre olmasaydı, hemen azaba uğrarlardı.

Dan sekiranya tidak ada suatu ketetapan dari Allah yang telah terdahulu atau tidak ada ajal yang telah ditentukan, pasti (azab itu) menimpa mereka.

اور اگر آپ کے رب کی طرف سے بات طے نہ ہوچکی ہوتی اور وقت مقرر نہ ہوتا تو عذاب لازمی طور پر آچکا ہوتا

আপনার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে পূর্ব সিদ্ধান্ত এবং একটি কাল নির্দিষ্ট না থাকলে শাস্তি অবশ্যম্ভাবী হয়ে যেত।
