    We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone

  • وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ ٱلْخُلْدَ أَفَإِي۟ن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ ٱلْخَٰلِدُونَ

    And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die - would they be eternal?

  • أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

    When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
