And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning."

If the people of the towns had been faithful and Godwary, We would have opened to them blessings from the heaven and the earth. But they denied; so We seized them because of what they used to earn.

And if the people of the townships had believed and kept from evil, surely We should have opened for them blessings from the sky and from the earth. But (unto every messenger) they gave the lie, and so We seized them on account of what they used to earn.

If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (All kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.

Yet had the peoples of the cities believed and been godfearing, We would have opened upon them blessings from heaven and earth; but they cried lies, and so We seized them for what they earned.

و اگر اهل شهرها و آبادی ها ایمان می آوردند و پرهیزکاری پیشه می کردند، یقیناً [درهایِ] برکاتی از آسمان و زمین را بر آنان می گشودیم، ولی [آیات الهی و پیامبران را] تکذیب کردند، ما هم آنان را به کیفر اعمالی که همواره مرتکب می شدند [به عذابی سخت] گرفتیم.

و اگر مردم شهرها ایمان آورده و به تقوا گراییده بودند، قطعاً برکاتی از آسمان و زمین برایشان می‌گشودیم، ولی تکذیب کردند؛ پس به [کیفر] دستاوردشان [گریبان‌] آنان را گرفتیم.

Eğer kentlerin halkı inanmış ve Bize karşı gelmekten sakınmış olsalardı, onlara göğün ve yerin bolluklarını verirdik. Ama yalanladılar; bu yüzden onları, yaptıklarına karşılık yakalayıverdik.

Jikalau sekiranya penduduk negeri-negeri beriman dan bertakwa, pastilah Kami akan melimpahkan kepada mereka berkah dari langit dan bumi, tetapi mereka mendustakan (ayat-ayat Kami) itu, maka Kami siksa mereka disebabkan perbuatannya.

اور اگر اہل قریہ ایمان لے آتے اور تقوٰی اختیار کرلیتے تو ہم ان کے لئے زمین اور آسمان سے برکتوں کے دروازے کھول دیتے لیکن انہوں نے تکذیب کی تو ہم نے ان کو ان کے اعمال کی گرفت میں لے لیا

আর যদি সে জনপদের অধিবাসীরা ঈমান আনত এবং পরহেযগারী অবলম্বন করত, তবে আমি তাদের প্রতি আসমানী ও পার্থিব নেয়ামত সমূহ উম্মুক্ত করে দিতাম। কিন্তু তারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে। সুতরাং আমি তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছি তাদের কৃতকর্মের বদলাতে।
