59

ٱلَّذِينَ ٱلَّذِى لَهُمْ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِّنَ بِمَا ﴿٥٩﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

But those who wronged changed [those words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them, so We sent down upon those who wronged a punishment from the sky because they were defiantly disobeying.

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

بی‌اعتنایی بنی‌اسرائیل به فرمان خدا

به فرمودةٌ قرآن» بنی‌اسرائیل می‌بایست در هنگام ورود از در معبد بیت‌المقدس» کلمةٌ «حطة» (خداونداء گناهان ما را بریز) را بر زبان جاری می‌کردند. برخی از مفسران گفته‌اند که آنها این کلمه را از روی استهزا و مخالفت با دستور خدا تغییر دادند و به جای آن گفتند: «حنطة» (گندم).

عذاب بی‌اعتنایی بنی‌اسرائیل

رٍجز در لغت به معنای اضطراب و بی‌نظمی است و در میان اهل حجاز» عذاب معنی می‌دهد. در بعضی از روایات این کلمه در این یه به نوعی طاعون تفسیر شده است که به سرعت در میان بنی‌اسرائیل شایع شد و جالب توجه این که تنها ستمگران بنی‌اسرائیل گرفتار آن شدند. یکی از عوارض طاعون» ایجاد اضطراب و بی‌نظمی در سخن است که این مطلب با معنای ریشه‌ای کلمةٌ رجز نیز تناسب دارد.

    And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."

  • فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَلَٰوَمُونَ

    Then they approached one another, blaming each other.

  • رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَٰلِمُونَ

    Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers."

  • وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَهُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ

    And there had certainly come to them a Messenger from among themselves, but they denied him; so punishment overtook them while they were wrongdoers.
