And We did not send before you, [O Muhammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing.

We did not send any apostles before you but that they indeed ate food and walked in marketplaces. We have made you a [means of] test for one another, [to see] if you will be patient and steadfast, and your Lord is all-seeing.

We never sent before thee any messengers but lo! they verily ate food and walked in the markets. And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer.

And the messengers whom We sent before thee were all (men) who ate food and walked through the streets: We have made some of you as a trial for others: will ye have patience? for Allah is One Who sees (all things).

And We sent not before thee any Envoys, but that they ate food, and went in the markets; and We appointed some of you to be a trial for others: 'Will you endure?' Thy Lord is ever All-seeing.

و ما پیش از تو هیچ یک از پیامبران را نفرستادیم مگر آنکه آنان هم غذا می خوردند و در بازارها راه می رفتند، و ما برخی از شما را [وسیله] آزمایش برخی دیگر قرار دادیم [توانگر را به تهیدست وتهیدست را به توانگر، بیمار را به تندرست و تندرست را به بیمار، پیامبر را به امت و امت را به پیامبر]. آیا [نسبت به اجرای احکام الهی و تکالیف و مسؤولیت ها] شکیبایی می ورزید؟ و پروردگارت همواره [به احوال و اعمال همه] بیناست.

و پیش از تو پیامبران [خود] را نفرستادیم جز اینکه آنان [نیز] غذا می‌خوردند و در بازارها راه می‌رفتند، و برخی از شما را برای برخی دیگر [وسیله‌] آزمایش قرار دادیم. آیا شکیبایی می‌کنید؟ و پروردگار تو همواره بیناست.

Senden önce gönderdiğimiz bütün peygamberler de, şüphesiz, yemek yerler, sokaklarda gezerlerdi. Ey insanlar! Sabreder misiniz diye sizi birbirinizle sınarız. Rabbin her şeyi görür.

Dan Kami tidak mengutus rasul-rasul sebelummu, melainkan mereka sungguh memakan makanan dan berjalan di pasar-pasar. Dan kami jadikan sebahagian kamu cobaan bagi sebahagian yang lain. Maukah kamu bersabar?; dan adalah Tuhanmu maha Melihat.

اور ہم نے آپ سے پہلے بھی جن رسولوں کو بھیجا ہے وہ بھی کھانا کھایا کرتے تھے اور بازاروں میں چلتے تھے اور ہم نے بعض افراد کو بعض کے لئے وجہ آزمائش بنادیا ہے تو مسلمانو ! کیا تم صبر کرسکو گے جب کہ تمہارا پروردگار بہت بڑی بصیرت رکھنے والا ہے

আপনার পূর্বে যত রসূল প্রেরণ করেছি, তারা সবাই খাদ্য গ্রহণ করত এবং হাটে-বাজারে চলাফেরা করত। আমি তোমাদের এককে অপরের জন্যে পরীক্ষাস্বরূপ করেছি। দেখি, তোমরা সবর কর কিনা। আপনার পালনকর্তা সব কিছু দেখেন।
