And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence.

Those who do not expect to encounter Us say, ‘Why have angels not been sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?’ Certainly, they are full of arrogance within their souls and have become terribly defiant.

And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride.

Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety!

Say those who look not to encounter Us, 'Why have the angels not been sent down on us, or why see we not our Lord?' Waxed proud they have within them, and become greatly disdainful.

و آنان که به دیدار [قیامت و محاسبه اعمال به وسیله] ما امید ندارند، گفتند: چرا بر ما فرشتگانی نازل نشد، یا [چرا] پروردگارمان را نمی بینیم؟ به راستی که خودشان را در درون خود بزرگ شمردند و دچار سرکشی بزرگی شدند.

و کسانی که به لقای ما امید ندارند، گفتند: «چرا فرشتگان بر ما نازل نشدند یا پروردگارمان را نمی‌بینیم؟» قطعاً در مورد خود تکبر ورزیدند و سخت سرکشی کردند.

Bizimle karşılaşmayı ummayanlar: "Bize ya melekler indirilmeli, ya da Rabbimiz'i görmeliyiz" derler. And olsun ki kendi kendilerine büyüklenmişler, azgınlıkta pek ileri gitmişlerdir.

Berkatalah orang-orang yang tidak menanti-nanti pertemuan(nya) dengan Kami: "Mengapakah tidak diturunkan kepada kita malaikat atau (mengapa) kita (tidak) melihat Tuhan kita?" Sesungguhnya mereka memandang besar tentang diri mereka dan mereka benar-benar telah melampaui batas(dalam melakukan) kezaliman".

اور جو لوگ ہماری ملاقات کی امید نہیں رکھتے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ آخر ہم پر فرشتے کیوں نہیں نازل ہوتے یا ہم خدا کو کیوں نہیں دیکھتے درحقیقت یہ لوگ اپنی جگہ پر بہت مغرور ہوگئے ہیں اور انتہائی درجہ کی سرکشی کررہے ہیں

যারা আমার সাক্ষাৎ আশা করে না, তারা বলে, আমাদের কাছে ফেরেশতা অবতীর্ণ করা হল না কেন? অথবা আমরা আমাদের পালনকর্তাকে দেখি না কেন? তারা নিজেদের অন্তরে অহংকার পোষণ করে এবং গুরুতর অবাধ্যতায় মেতে উঠেছে।
