رابطةٌ طغیان و دنیاپرستی

این آیات» اصول سعادت و شقاوت انسان را به نحو زیبا و شایسته‌ای ترسیم کرده» شقاوت انسان را نتیجةُ طغیان و دنیاپرستی» و سعادت او را ثمرةٌ خوف از خدا و ترک هوای نفشس دانسته است و عصارهٌ تمام تعلیمات انبیا و اولیا نیز همین است و بس. هوی‌پرستی» پرده‌ای بر عقل می‌کشد. اعمال زشت را در نظر آدمی تزیین می‌کند و حس تشخیص را که بزرگ‌ترین نعمت خدا و امتیاز انسان از حیوان استء از او می‌گیرد و آدمی را به خود مشغول می‌کند. امام باقر(ع) می‌فرماید: «بهشت در لابه‌لای ناملایمات و سختی‌ها و صبر و شکیبایی پوشیده شده است. هر کس در برابر ناراحتی‌ها در دنیا شکیبایی کند. داخضل بهشت می‌شود. دوزخ در لابه‌لای لذات و شهوات پیچیده شده و هر کس نفس خویش را در برابر این لذات و شهوات آزاد بگذارد. داخل آتش می‌شود.» امام صادق(ع) می‌فرماید: «نفس را با هوی و هوسش رها مکن؛ چرا که هوای نفس سبب مرگ نفس می‌شود. آزاد گذاردن نفس در برابر هوی‌هاء درد آن است و باز داشتن آن از هوی و هوس‌هایش, دوای آن.» نه تنها جهنم آخرت» زاییدةٌ هوی‌پرستی است» جهنم‌های سوزان دنیا همچون ناامنی‌هاء بی‌نظمی‌هاء جنگ‌ها و خونریزی‌هاء جدال‌ها و کینه‌توزی‌ها هم ناشی از آن است.
