Not equal are those believers remaining [at home] - other than the disabled - and the mujahideen, [who strive and fight] in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the mujahideen through their wealth and their lives over those who remain [behind], by degrees. And to both Allah has promised the best [reward]. But Allah has preferred the mujahideen over those who remain [behind] with a great reward -

Not equal are those of the faithful who sit back—excepting those who suffer from some disability—and those who wage jihad in the way of Allah with their possession and their persons. Allah has graced those who wage jihad with their possessions and their persons by a degree over those who sit back; yet to each Allah has promised the best reward, and Allah has graced those who wage jihad over those who sit back with a great reward:

Those of the believers who sit still, other than those who have a (disabling) hurt, are not on an equality with those who strive in the way of Allah with their wealth and lives. Allah hath conferred on those who strive with their wealth and lives a rank above the sedentary. Unto each Allah hath promised good, but He hath bestowed on those who strive a great reward above the sedentary;

Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,-

Such believers as sit at home -- unless they have an injury -- are not the equals of those who struggle in the path of God with their possessions and their selves. God has preferred in rank those who struggle with their possessions and their selves over the ones who sit at home; yet to each God has promised the reward most fair; and God has preferred those who struggle over the ones who sit at home for the bounty of a mighty wage,

آن گروه از مؤمنانی که بدون بیماری جسمی [و نقص مالی، و عذر دیگر، از رفتن به جهاد خودداری کردند و] در خانه نشستند، با مجاهدانی که در راه خدا با اموال و جان هایشان به جهاد برخاستند، یکسان نیستند. خدا کسانی را که با اموال و جان هایشان جهاد می کنند به مقام و مرتبه ای بزرگ بر خانه نشینان برتری بخشیده است. و هر یک [از این دو گروه] را [به خاطر ایمان و عمل صالحشان] وعده پاداش نیک داده، و جهادکنندگان را بر خانه نشینانِ [بی عُذر] به پاداشی بزرگ برتری داده است.

مؤمنان خانه‌نشین که زیان‌دیده نیستند با آن مجاهدانی که با مال و جان خود در راه خدا جهاد می‌کنند یکسان نمی‌باشند. خداوند، کسانی را که با مال و جان خود جهاد می‌کنند به درجه‌ای بر خانه‌نشینان مزیت بخشیده، و همه را خدا وعده [پاداش‌] نیکو داده، و[لی‌] مجاهدان را بر خانه‌نشینان به پاداشی بزرگ، برتری بخشیده است؛

İnananlardan, özürsüz olarak yerlerinde oturanlar ile, mal ve canlariyle cihad edenleri, mertebece, oturanlardan üstün kılmıştır. Allah hepsine de cenneti vadetmiştir, ama Allah, cihad edenleri oturanlara, büyük ecirler, dereceler, mağfiret ve rahmetle üstün kılmıştır. Allah bağışlar ve merhamet eder.

Tidaklah sama antara mukmin yang duduk (yang tidak ikut berperang) yang tidak mempunyai 'uzur dengan orang-orang yang berjihad di jalan Allah dengan harta mereka dan jiwanya. Allah melebihkan orang-orang yang berjihad dengan harta dan jiwanya atas orang-orang yang duduk satu derajat. Kepada masing-masing mereka Allah menjanjikan pahala yang baik (surga) dan Allah melebihkan orang-orang yang berjihad atas orang yang duduk dengan pahala yang besar,

اندھے بیمار اور معذور افراد کے علاوہ گھر بیٹھ رہنے والے صاحبانِ ایمان ہرگز ان لوگوں کے برابر نہیں ہوسکتے جو راسِ خدا میں اپنے جان و مال سے جہاد کرنے والے ہیں- اللہ نے اپنے مال اور جان سے جہاد کرنے والوں کو بیٹھ رہنے والوں پر امتیاز عنایت کئے ہیں اور ہر ایک سے نیکی کا وعدہ کیا ہے اور مجاہدین کو بیٹھ رہنے والوں کے مقابلہ میں اج» عظیم عطا کیا ہے

গৃহে উপবিষ্ট মুসলমান-যাদের কোন সঙ্গত ওযর নেই এবং ঐ মুসলমান যারা জান ও মাল দ্বারা আল্লাহর পথে জেহাদ করে,-সমান নয়। যারা জান ও মাল দ্বারা জেহাদ করে, আল্লাহ তাদের পদমর্যাদা বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন গৃহে উপবিষ্টদের তুলনায় এবং প্রত্যেকের সাথেই আল্লাহ কল্যাণের ওয়াদা করেছেন। আল্লাহ মুজাহেদীনকে উপবিষ্টদের উপর মহান প্রতিদানে শ্রেষ্ঠ করেছেন।
