And his people came hastening to him, and before [this] they had been doing evil deeds. He said, "O my people, these are my daughters; they are purer for you. So fear Allah and do not disgrace me concerning my guests. Is there not among you a man of reason?"

Then his people came running toward him, and they had been committing vices aforetime. He said, ‘O my people, these are my daughters: they are purer for you. Be wary of Allah and do not humiliate me with regard to my guests. Is there not a right-minded man among you?’

And his people came unto him, running towards him - and before then they used to commit abominations - He said: O my people! Here are my daughters! They are purer for you. Beware of Allah, and degrade me not in (the person of) my guests. Is there not among you any upright man?

And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been long in the habit of practising abominations. He said: "O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?"

And his people came to him, running towards him; and erstwhile they had been doing evil deeds. He said, 'O my people, these are my daughters; they are cleaner for you. So fear God, and do not degrade me in my guests. What, is there not one man among you of a right mind?'

و قومش شتابان به سویش آمدند [تا به خیال خود به مهمانانش دست درازی کنند، آن قومی] که پیش از آن کارهای زشت و ناپسند مرتکب می شدند، گفت: ای قوم من! اینان دختران من هستند، اینان [از نظر ازدواج] برای شما پاکیزه ترند، از خدا پروا کنید و مرا در میان مهمانانم رسوا نکنید؛ آیا از میان شما مردی راه یافته نیست؟

و قوم او شتابان به سویش آمدند، و پیش از آن کارهای زشت می‌کردند. [لوط] گفت: «ای قوم من، اینان دختران منند. آنان برای شما پاکیزه‌ترند. پس از خدا بترسید و مرا در کار مهمانانم رسوا مکنید. آیا در میان شما آدمی عقل‌رس پیدا نمی‌شود؟»

Milleti ona koşarak geldiler. Daha önce kötü işler işliyorlardı. "Ey milletim! İşte bunlar benim kızlarım, onlar sizin için daha temizdir. (size nikahlıyabilirim!) Allah'tan sakının, konuklarımın önünde beni rezil etmeyin. İçinizde aklı başında kimse yok mudur?" dedi.

Dan datanglah kepadanya kaumnya dengan bergegas-gegas. Dan sejak dahulu mereka selalu melakukan perbuatan-perbuatan yang keji. Luth berkata: "Hai kaumku, inilah puteri-puteriku, mereka lebih suci bagimu, maka bertakwalah kepada Allah dan janganlah kamu mencemarkan (nama)ku terhadap tamuku ini. Tidak adakah di antaramu seorang yang berakal?"

اور ان کی قوم دوڑتی ہوئی آگئی اور اس کے پہلے بھی یہ لوگ ایسے برے کام کررہے تھے لوط نے کہا اے قوم یہ ہماری لڑکیاں تمہارے لئے زیادہ پاکیزہ ہیں خدا سے ڈرو اور مہمانوں کے بارے میں مجھے شرمندہ نہ کرو کیا تم میں کوئی سمجھدار آدمی نہیں ہے

আর তাঁর কওমের লোকেরা স্বতঃস্ফুর্তভাবে তার (গৃহ) পানে ছুটে আসতে লাগল। পূর্ব থেকেই তারা কু-কর্মে তৎপর ছিল। লূত (আঃ) বললেন-হে আমার কওম, এ আমার কন্যারা রয়েছে, এরা তোমাদের জন্য অধিক পবিত্রতমা। সুতরাং তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং অতিথিদের ব্যাপারে আমাকে লজ্জিত করো না, তোমাদের মধ্যে কি কোন ভাল মানুষ নেই।
