And We had certainly established them in such as We have not established you, and We made for them hearing and vision and hearts. But their hearing and vision and hearts availed them not from anything [of the punishment] when they were [continually] rejecting the signs of Allah; and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

Certainly We had granted them power in respects that We have not granted you, and We had vested them with hearing and sight and hearts. But neither their hearing availed them in any way nor did their sight, nor their hearts when they used to impugn the signs of Allah. So they were besieged by what they used to deride.

And verily We had empowered them with that wherewith We have not empowered you, and had assigned them ears and eyes and hearts; but their ears and eyes and hearts availed them naught since they denied the revelations of Allah; and what they used to mock befell them.

And We had firmly established them in a (prosperity and) power which We have not given to you (ye Quraish!) and We had endowed them with (faculties of) hearing, seeing, heart and intellect: but of no profit to them were their (faculties of) hearing, sight, and heart and intellect, when they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah; and they were (completely) encircled by that which they used to mock at!

And We had established them in that wherein We have not established you, and We appointed for them hearing, and sight, and hearts; and yet their hearing, their sight and their hearts availed them nothing, since they denied the signs of God, and they were encompassed by that they mocked at.

همانا ما به آنان در اموری قدرت و تمکن داده بودیم که شما را در آن امور چنان قدرت و نیرویی نداده ایم، و برای آنان گوش و چشم و دل قرار داده بودیم، ولی گوش و چشم و دلشان چیزی از عذاب را از آنان برطرف نکرد؛ زیرا همواره [با داشتن آن ابزار تشخیص] آیات ما را انکار می کردند، و سرانجام عذابی که همواره آن را مسخره می کردند، آنان را احاطه کرد.

و به راستی در چیزهایی به آنان امکانات داده بودیم که به شما در آنها [چنان‌] امکاناتی نداده‌ایم، و برای آنان گوش و دیده‌ها و دلهایی [نیرومندتر از شما] قرار داده بودیم، و[لی‌] چون به نشانه‌های خدا انکار ورزیدند [نه‌] گوششان و نه دیدگانشان و نه دلهایشان، به هیچ وجه به دردشان نخورد، و آنچه ریشخندش می‌کردند به سرشان آمد.

And olsun ki onlara, size vermediğimiz servet ve imkanı vermiştik. Onlara kulaklar, gözler ve kalbler vermiştik; ama kulakları, gözleri ve kalbleri onlara bir fayda sağlamadı, zira, Allah'ın ayetlerini bile bile inkar ediyorlardı, alaya aldıkları şeyler onları kuşatıp yokediverdi.

Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah meneguhkan kedudukan mereka dalam hal-hal yang Kami belum pernah meneguhkan kedudukanmu dalam hal itu dan Kami telah memberikan kepada mereka pendengaran, penglihatan dan hati; tetapi pendengaran, penglihatan dan hati mereka itu tidak berguna sedikit juapun bagi mereka, karena mereka selalu mengingkari ayat-ayat Allah dan mereka telah diliputi oleh siksa yang dahulu selalu mereka memperolok-olokkannya.

اور یقینا ہم نے ان کو وہ اختیارات دیئے تھے جو تم کو نہیں دیئے ہیں اور ان کے لئے کان, آنکھ, دل سب قرار دیئے تھے لیکن نہ انہیں کانوں نے کوئی فائدہ پہنچایا اور نہ آنکھوں اور دلوں نے کہ وہ آیات الٰہی کا انکار کرنے والے افراد تھے اور انہیں عذاب نے گھیر لیا جس کا وہ مذاق اڑایا کرتے تھے

আমি তাদেরকে এমন বিষয়ে ক্ষমতা দিয়েছিলাম, যে বিষয়ে তোমাদেরকে ক্ষমতা দেইনি। আমি তাদের দিয়েছিলাম, কর্ণ, চক্ষু ও হৃদয়, কিন্তু তাদের কর্ণ, চক্ষু ও হৃদয় তাদের কোন কাজে আসল না, যখন তারা আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহকে অস্বীকার করল এবং তাদেরকে সেই শাস্তি গ্রাস করে নিল, যা নিয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপ করত।
