وَلَقَدِ مِّن بِٱلَّذِينَ مِنْهُم مَّا بِهِۦ ﴿٤١﴾

Saheeh International

And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

  • فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰٓ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِى وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ

    But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

  • فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

    So they were struck by the evil consequences of what they did and were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
