And We divided them into twelve descendant tribes [as distinct] nations. And We inspired to Moses when his people implored him for water, "Strike with your staff the stone," and there gushed forth from it twelve springs. Every people knew its watering place. And We shaded them with clouds and sent down upon them manna and quails, [saying], "Eat from the good things with which We have provided you." And they wronged Us not, but they were [only] wronging themselves.

We split them up into twelve tribal communities, and We revealed to Moses, when his people asked him for water, [saying], ‘Strike the rock with your staff,’ whereat twelve fountains gushed forth from it. Every tribe came to know its drinking-place. And We shaded them with clouds, and We sent down to them manna and quails: ‘Eat of the good things We have provided you.’ And they did not wrong Us, but they used to wrong [only] themselves.

We gave them the shade of clouds, and sent down to them manna and quails, (saying): "Eat of the good things We have provided for you": (but they rebelled); to Us they did no harm, but they harmed their own souls.

And We cut them up into twelve tribes, nations. And We revealed to Moses, when his people asked him for water: 'Strike with thy staff the rock'; and there gushed forth from it twelve fountains all the people knew now their drinking-place. And We outspread the cloud to overshadow them, and We sent down manna and quails upon them: 'Eat of the good things wherewith We have supplied you.' And they worked no wrong upon Us, but themselves they wronged.

و ما بنی اسرائیل را به دوازده قبیله که هر یک امتی بودند، تقسیم کردیم، و به موسی هنگامی که قومش از او درخواست آب کردند، وحی نمودیم که عصایت را بر این سنگ بزن؛ در نتیجه دوازده چشمه از آن جوشید؛ هر گروهی چشمه ویژه خود را شناخت؛ و ابر را بر سر آنان سایبان قرار دادیم، و برای آنان منّ و سلوی [یعنی ترنجبین و مرغی مخصوص] نازل کردیم [و به آنان گفتیم:] از روزی های پاکیزه ای که به شما دادیم، بخورید. و [آنان با سرپیچی از فرمان های ما] بر ما ستم نکردند، ولی همواره بر خود ستم می ورزیدند.

و آنان را به دوازده عشیره که هر یک امتی بودند تقسیم کردیم، و به موسی -وقتی قومش از او آب خواستند- وحی کردیم که با عصایت بر آن تخته سنگ بزن. پس، از آن، دوازده چشمه جوشید. هر گروهی آبشخور خود را بشناخت؛ و ابر را بر فراز آنان سایبان کردیم، و گزانگبین و بلدرچین بر ایشان فرو فرستادیم. از چیزهای پاکیزه‌ای که روزیتان کرده‌ایم بخورید. و بر ما ستم نکردند، لیکن بر خودشان ستم می‌کردند.

Biz İsrailoğullarını oymaklar halinde on iki topluluğa ayırdık. Milleti Musa'dan su isteyince ona: "Asanla taşa vur" diye bildirdik; ondan on iki pınar fışkırdı. Herkes içeceği yeri öğrendi. Bulutla üzerlerine gölge yaptık, onlara kudret helvası ve bıldırcın indirdik, "Size verdiğimiz rızıkların temiz olanlarından yiyin" dedik. Onlar, karşı gelmekle, Bize değil kendilerine zulmediyorlardı.

Dan mereka Kami bagi menjadi dua belas suku yang masing-masingnya berjumlah besar dan Kami wahyukan kepada Musa ketika kaumnya meminta air kepadanya: "Pukullah batu itu dengan tongkatmu!". Maka memancarlah dari padanya duabelas mata air. Sesungguhnya tiap-tiap suku mengetahui tempat minum masing-masing. Dan Kami naungkan awan di atas mereka dan Kami turunkan kepada mereka manna dan salwa. (Kami berfirman): "Makanlah yang baik-baik dari apa yang telah Kami rezekikan kepadamu". Mereka tidak menganiaya Kami, tapi merekalah yang selalu menganiaya dirinya sendiri.

اور ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو یعقوب علیھ السّلام کی بارہ اولاد کے بارہ حصّو ں پر تقسیم کردیا اور موسٰی علیھ السّلام کی طرف وحی کی جب ان کی قوم نے پانی کا مطالبہ کیا کہ زمین پر عصا ماردو -انہوں نے عصا ماراتو بارہ چشمے جاری ہوگئے اس طرح کہ ہر گردہ نے اپنے گھاٹ کو پہچان لیا اور ہم نے ان کے سروں پر ابر کا سایہ کیااور ان پر من و سلوٰی جیسی نعمت نازل کی کہ ہمارے دیئے ہوئے پاکیزہ رزق کو کھاؤ اور ان لوگوں نے مخالفت کرکے ہمارے اوپر ظلم نہیں کیا بلکہ یہ اپنے ہی نفس پر ظلم کررہے تھے

আর আমি পৃথক পৃথক করে দিয়েছি তাদের বার জন পিতামহের সন্তানদেরকে বিরাট বিরাট দলে, এবং নির্দেশ দিয়েছি মুসাকে, যখন তার কাছে তার সম্প্রদায় পানি চাইল যে, স্বীয় যষ্টির দ্বারা আঘাত কর এ পাথরের উপর। অতঃপর এর ভেতর থেকে ফুটে বের হল বারটি প্রস্রবণ। প্রতিটি গোত্র চিনে নিল নিজ নিজ ঘাঁটি। আর আমি ছায়া দান করলাম তাদের উপর মেঘের এবং তাদের জন্য অবতীর্ন করলাম মান্না ও সালওয়া। যে পরিচ্ছন্ন বস্তুত জীবিকারূপে আমি তোমাদের দিয়েছি, তা থেকে তোমরা ভক্ষণ কর। বস্তুতঃ তারা আমার কোন ক্ষতি করেনি, বরং ক্ষতি করেছে নিজেদেরই।
