,. همسر لوط

از آیات قرآن فهمیده می‌شود که همسر لوط مانند همسر نوح, از انسان‌های کافرپیشه و گنهکار بود که به همسرش ایمان نیاورد و بلکه به او خیانت کرد. در أَیةُ ۱۰ سورة تحریم می‌خوانیم: «خداوند برای کسانی که کافر شده‌اند. همسر نوح و همسر لوط را مثل زده است. آن دو تحت سرپرستی دو بنده از بندگان صالح ما بودند؛ ولی به آن دو خیانت کردند و ارتباط با این دو (پیامبر) سودی به حالشان (در برابر عذاب الهی) نداشت. و به آنها گفته شد: وارد آتش شوید همراه کسانی که وارد می‌شوند.» قرآن در بارهٌ این که زن لوط چه خیانت یا خیانت‌هایی به همسرش می‌کرده» سخنی نگفته؛ اما در روایتی نقل شده است که قوم لوط او را از پذیرفتن مهمان منع کرده بودند. هنگامی که فرشتگان عذاب به صورت انسان‌هایی به خانةٌ لوط آمدند و میهمان او شدنده همسر لوطء قوم او را از این مطلب باخبر کرد و آن قوم گنهکار به سمت خانةٌ پیامبر هجوم بردند.... البته باید توجه داشت که همسر لوط خود هرگز از جادةٌ عفت منحرف نشد؛ زیرا همسر هیچ پیامبری هرگز آلوده به بی‌عفتی نشده است؛ چنان که در حدیثی از پیامبر اکرم(ص) به صراحت آمده است: «همسر هیچ پیامبری به عمل منافی عفت آلوده نشد.»
