And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was the end of the corrupters.

And do not lie in wait on every road to threaten and bar those who have faith in Him from the way of Allah, seeking to make it crooked. Remember when you were few, and He multiplied you, and observe how was the fate of the agents of corruption.

Lurk not on every road to threaten (wayfarers), and to turn away from Allah's path him who believeth in Him, and to seek to make it crooked. And remember, when ye were but few, how He did multiply you. And see the nature of the consequence for the corrupters!

"And squat not on every road, breathing threats, hindering from the path of Allah those who believe in Him, and seeking in it something crooked; But remember how ye were little, and He gave you increase. And hold in your mind's eye what was the end of those who did mischief.

And do not sit in every path, threatening and barring from God's way those who believe in Him, desiring to make it crooked. And remember when you were few, and He multiplied you; and behold, how was the end of the workers of corruption.

و بر سر هر راهی منشینید که کسانی را که به خدا ایمان آورده اند [به مصادره اموال، شکنجه و باج خواهی] بترسانید، و از راه خدا بازدارید، و بخواهید آن را [با وسوسه و اغواگری] کج نشان دهید؛ و به یاد آوردید زمانی که جمعیت اندکی بودید، ولی [پروردگارتان] شما را فزونی داد، و با تأمل بنگرید که سرانجام مفسدین و تبهکاران چگونه بود؟

و بر سر هر راهی منشینید که [مردم را] بترسانید و کسی را که ایمان به خدا آورده از راه خدا باز دارید و راه او را کج بخواهید؛ و به یاد آورید هنگامی را که اندک بودید، پس شما را بسیار گردانید، و بنگرید که فرجام فسادکاران چگونه بوده است.»

"Allah'a inananları yolundan alıkoyup ve o yolun eğriliğini dileyerek tehdit edip her yolda pusu kurup oturmayın. Azken, Allah'ın sizi çoğalttığını hatırlayın; bozguncuların sonunun nasıl olduğuna bir bakın."

Dan janganlah kamu duduk di tiap-tiap jalan dengan menakut-nakuti dan menghalang-halangi orang yang beriman dari jalan Allah, dan menginginkan agar jalan Allah itu menjadi bengkok. Dan ingatlah di waktu dahulunya kamu berjumlah sedikit, lalu Allah memperbanyak jumlah kamu. Dan perhatikanlah bagaimana kesudahan orang-orang yang berbuat kerusakan.

اورخبردار ہر راستہ پر بیٹھ کر ایمان والوں کو ڈرانے دھمکانے اور راہ هخدا سے روکنے کا کام چھوڑ دو کہ تم اس میں بھی کجی تلاش کررہے ہو اور یہ یاد کرو کہ تم بہت کم تھے خدا نے کثرت عطا کی اور یہ دیکھو کہ فساد کرنے والوں کا انجام کیا ہوتا ہے

তোমরা পথে ঘাটে এ কারণে বসে থেকো না যে, আল্লাহ বিশ্বাসীদেরকে হুমকি দিবে, আল্লাহর পথে বাধা সৃষ্টি করবে এবং তাতে বক্রতা অনুসন্ধান করবে। স্মরণ কর, যখন তোমরা সংখ্যায় অল্প ছিলে অতঃপর আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে অধিক করেছেন এবং লক্ষ্য কর কিরূপ অশুভ পরিণতি হয়েছে অনর্থকারীদের।
