إِلَىٰ مَا ﴿٢٨﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.

امت‌های به زانو نشسته

از بعضی تعبیرات که در کلمات مفسران بزرگ آمده» استفاده می‌شود که در گذشته» ارباب دعوا در محضر قضاوت به زانو می‌نشستند تا از دیگران مشخص شوند. در روز قیامست نیز همه در آن دادگاه بزرگ بر زانو می‌نشینند تا محاکمة آنها صورت پذیرد. ممکن است این تعبیرء نشانةٌ آمادگی آنها برای پذیرش هر فرمان و حکمی باشد؛ چراکه افرادی که به حالت آماده‌باش نشسته‌اند. بر زانو می‌نشینند. شاید هم به ضعف و ناتوانی و هراس و وحشتی که آنها را فرا می‌گیر اشاره داشته باشد. جمع همة این معانی در مفهوم آیه نیز ممکن است.

  • يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

    O you who have disbelieved, make no excuses that Day. You will only be recompensed for what you used to do.

  • وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

  • يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَفْدًا

    On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation

  • يَوْمَ يَغْشَىٰهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِمْ وَيَقُولُ ذُوقُوا۟ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

    On the Day the punishment will cover them from above them and from below their feet and it is said, "Taste [the result of] what you used to do."
