They impatiently urge you to bring about evil before good, while there has already occurred before them similar punishments [to what they demand]. And indeed, your Lord is full of forgiveness for the people despite their wrongdoing, and indeed, your Lord is severe in penalty.

They would press you for evil sooner than for good, though there have already gone by before them exemplary punishments. Indeed your Lord is forgiving to mankind despite their wrongdoing, and indeed your Lord is severe in retribution.

And they bid thee hasten on the evil rather than the good, when exemplary punishments have indeed occurred before them. But lo! thy Lord is rich in pardon for mankind despite their wrong, and lo! thy Lord is strong in punishment.

They ask thee to hasten on the evil in preference to the good: Yet have come to pass, before them, (many) exemplary punishments! But verily thy Lord is full of forgiveness for mankind for their wrong-doing, and verily thy Lord is (also) strict in punishment.

They would have thee hasten the evil ere the good; yet there have passed away before them examples. Thy Lord is forgiving to men, for all their evil-doing, and thy Lord is terrible in retribution.

و از تو [بر پایه تمسخر، استهزا، جهل و نادانی] پیش از [درخواست] خیر و خوشی تقاضای شتاب در [فرود آمدن] عذاب می کنند، [اینان گمان می کنند که عذاب ها و مجازات های الهی دروغ است] با اینکه پیش از آنان عذاب ها و عقوبت های عبرت آموز [بر کافران و منکران] گذشته است و قطعاً پروردگارت نسبت به مردم با ظلم و ستمی که می کنند صاحب آمرزش است، و مسلماً پروردگارت سخت کیفر است.

و پیش از رحمت، شتابزده از تو عذاب می‌طلبند و حال آنکه پیش از آنان [بر کافران‌] عقوبتها رفته است، و به راستی پروردگار تو نسبت به مردم -با وجود ستمشان- بخشایشگر است، و به یقین پروردگار تو سخت‌کیفر است.

Puta tapanlar senden, iyilikten önce kötülük isterler, oysa onlardan önce nice ibret alınacak cezalar verilmiştir. Doğrusu Rabbinin, insanların zulümlerine rağmen onlara mağfireti vardır. Rabbinin cezalandırması çetindir.

Mereka meminta kepadamu supaya disegerakan (datangnya) siksa, sebelum (mereka meminta) kebaikan, padahal telah terjadi bermacam-macam contoh siksa sebelum mereka. Sesungguhnya Tuhanmu benar-benar mempunyai ampunan (yang luas) bagi manusia sekalipun mereka zalim, dan sesungguhnya Tuhanmu benar-benar sangat keras siksanya.

اور اے رسول یہ لوگ آپ سے بھلائی سے پہلے ہی برائی (عذاب)چاہتے ہیں جب کہ ان کے پہلے بہت سی عذاب کی نظریں گزر چکی ہیں اور آپ کا پروردگار لوگوں کے لئے ان کے ظلم پر بخشنے والا بھی ہے اور بہت سخت عذاب کرنے والا بھی ہے

এরা আপনার কাছে মঙ্গলের পরিবর্তে দ্রুত অমঙ্গল কামনা করে। তাদের পূর্বে অনুরূপ অনেক শাস্তিপ্রাপ্ত জনগোষ্ঠী অতিক্রান্ত হয়েছে। আপনার পালনকর্তা মানুষকে তাদের অন্যায় সত্বেও ক্ষমা করেন এবং আপনার পালনকর্তা কঠিন শাস্তিদাতা ও বটে।
