And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire.

ارتباط بهشتیان با دوزخیان

از این آیات بر می‌آید که گاه نوعی ارتباط میان بهشتیان و دوزخیان برقرار می‌شود؛ گویی بهشتیان که در بالا قرار دارند» به دوزخیان که در پایین هستنده می‌نگرند و وضع و حال آنها را می‌بینند. البته این دلیل بر آن نیست که فاصلةٌ بهشت و دوزخ کم است؛ بلکه در آن شرایطء قدرت دید فوق‌العاده‌ای به آنها داده می‌شود که مسألة فاصله و مکان در برابر آن مطرح نیست. در کلمات بعضی از مفسران آمده است که در بهشت روزنه‌ای وجود دارد که از آن می‌توان جهنم را دید. از یات سورةٌ اعراف نیز به خوبی این ارتباط روشن می‌شود؛ انجا که می‌گوید: «و بهشتیان دوزخیان را صدا می‌زنند که آنچه را پروردگارمان به ما وعده داده بود. همه را حق یافتیم؛ آیا شما هم آنچه را پروردگارتان به شما وعده داده بود» حق یافتید؟! می‌گویند: آری...» (اعراف - ۴۴). البته از این یه استفاده می‌شود که در میان بهشتیان و دوزخیان» حجابی نیز برقرار است. با این همه, شرایط و احوال روز قیامت با وضع این جهان بسیار متفاوت است و ما نمی‌توانیم آن شرایط را با معیارهای این جهان ارزیابی کنیم.
