ابراهیم دروغ نگفت

بدون شک خبر دادن ابراهیم از مریضی خوده به نگاه او به ستارگان مربوط بوده؛ اما در بارةٌ این که این ارتباط چه بوده استء دو نظر وجود دارد: یکم این که نگاه کردن او به ستارگان» برای تشخیص ساعت بیماری بوده؛ مثل کسی که دچار تب نوبه است که در اوقاتی شدت و ضعف پیدا می‌کند و ساعات بازگشت تب خود را با طلوع و غروب ستاره‌ای یا از وضعیت خاص نجوم تعیین می‌کند. دوم این که او با نگاه کردن به ستارگان پیش‌بینی کرد که به زودی بیمار خواهد شد؛ چرا که بسیاری از مردم -مانند صابئان - اعتقاد داشتند که با دقت در وضعیت ستارگان می‌توان حوادث آینده را دریافت. البته از میان این دوء نظر اول درست‌تر است؛ زیرا ابراهیم چنان توحید خالصی داشت که هیچ کس و هیچ چیز - حتی ستارگان را - در عالم به طور مستقل موّئر نمی‌دانست و از چنین شخصی - که أَیةُ ۸۴ نیز بر سلامت روح و اعتقاد او صخه می‌گذاره - بسیار بعید است که بیماری خود را به وضعیت ستارگان نسبت دهد و سخن دروغ و بیهوده‌ای به زبان آورد. از طرف دیگرء دلیلی وجود ندارد که او واقعاً بیمار نبوده است؛ بلکه طبق ظاهر آیه او بیمار بوده و این موضوع با اولین توجیهی که ذکر شد.ء کاملاً مطابقت دارد.

    But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill.

  • ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا۟ مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجْنُونٌ

    Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman."

  • فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا خَآئِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ قَالَ رَبِّ نَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

    So he left it, fearful and anticipating [apprehension]. He said, "My Lord, save me from the wrongdoing people."
