عَلَيْنَا إِنَّكُم ﴿٧٧﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And they will call, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain."

  • فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ

    So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time.

    And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is a thing intended.

  • فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ

    So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible -

  • سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

    They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?"

  • قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ

    They said, "Indeed, to our Lord we will return.
