And as for Thamud, We guided them, but they preferred blindness over guidance, so the thunderbolt of humiliating punishment seized them for what they used to earn.

As for [the people of] Thamud, We guided them, but they preferred blindness to guidance. So the bolt of a humiliating punishment seized them because of what they used to earn.

و اما ثمودیان، پس آنان را هدایت کردیم، ولی آنان کوردلی را بر هدایت ترجیح دادند، پس به کیفر اعمالی که همواره مرتکب می شدند، بانگ عذاب خوارکننده آنان را فراگرفت؛

و اما ثمودیان: پس آنان را راهبری کردیم و[لی‌] کوردلی را بر هدایت ترجیح دادند، پس به [کیفر] آنچه مرتکب می‌شدند صاعقه عذاب خفت‌آور آنان را فروگرفت.

Semud milletine, doğru yolu göstermiştik, ama onlar körlüğü, doğru yolda gitmeye tercih ettiler. Kazandıklarının karşılığı olarak onları alçaltıcı azabın yıldırımı çarptı.

Dan adapun kaum Tsamud, maka mereka telah Kami beri petunjuk tetapi mereka lebih menyukai buta (kesesatan) daripada petunjuk, maka mereka disambar petir azab yang menghinakan disebabkan apa yang telah mereka kerjakan.

اور قوم ثمود کو بھی ہم نے ہدایت دی لیکن ان لوگوں نے گمراہی کو ہدایت کے مقابلہ میں زیادہ پسند کیا تو ذلّت کے عذاب کی بجلی نے انہیں اپنی گرفت میں لے لیا ان اعمال کی بنا پر جو وہ انجام دے رہے تھے

আর যারা সামূদ, আমি তাদেরকে প্রদর্শন করেছিলাম, অতঃপর তারা সৎপথের পরিবর্তে অন্ধ থাকাই পছন্দ করল। অতঃপর তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে তাদেরকে অবমাননাকর আযাবের বিপদ এসে ধৃত করল।
