بِّهِۦ وَلَا إِنَّا إِنَّهُۥٓ ﴿٤٤﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

[We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah].

تخلف همسر ایوب

از ان عباس - مفسر معروف - نقل شده که شیطان - یا شیطان‌صفتی - به صورت طبیعی بر همسر ایوب ظاهر شد و گفت: من شوهر تو را معالجه می‌کنم؛ به این شرط که وقتی بهبود یافت» به من بگوید تنها عامل بهبودش من بوده‌ام و هیچ مزد دیگری نمی‌خواهم. همسرش که از ادامة بیماری شوهرش سخت ناراحت بود» پذیرفت و این پیشنهاد را به ایوب کرد. ایوب که متوجه دام شیطان بوده سخت برآشفت و سوگند یاد کرد که همسرش را تنبیه کند. بعضی دیگر گفته‌اند که ایوب او را دنبال انجام کاری فرستاد و او دیر کرد. او که از بیماری رنج می‌برد. سخت ناراحت شد و چنان سوگندی یاد کرد. اما به هر حال اگر او از یک نظر مستحق چنین کیفری بوده از نظر وفاداری‌اش در طول خدمت و پرستاری پیامبر خدا نیز استحقاق چنین عفوی را داشته است. درست است که زدن یک دسته ساقةٌ گندم یا چوب‌های خوشةٌ خرماء مصداق واقعی سوگند او نبوده استء» ولی ایوب برای حفظ احترام نام خدا و اشاعه نیافتن قانون‌شکنی» این کار را انجام داد. چنین کاری البته در موردی سزاوار است که طرف مستحق عفو باشد و انسان می‌خواهد در عین عفوء ظاهر قانون را نیز حفظ کند؛ وگرنه در مواردی که استحقاق عفو نباشد, هرگز چنین کاری مجاز نیست. برای اطلاع از ماجرای ایوب ر.ک. به: انبیاء - ۰۸۳
