إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ فِرْعَوْنُ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِىٓ بِهِۦ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ﴿٩٠﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning overtook him, he said, "I believe that there is no deity except that in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of the Muslims."

بی‌فایده بودن ایمان اضطراری

هنگامی که پیشگویی‌های موسی(ع) یکی پس از دیگری به وقوع پیوست و فرعون بیش از پیش از صداقت این پیامبر بزرگ آگاه شد و قدرت‌نمایی او را مشاهده کرد ناچار اظهار ایمان کرد؛ به امید این که همان‌گونه که خدای بنی‌اسرائیل آنها را از این امواج کوه‌پیکر رهایی بخشید. او را نیز رهایی بخشد. جباران روزگار پیوسته به زشتکاری خود ادامه می‌دهند؛ ولی هنگامی که چنگال مرگ گلوی آنان را فشرد و پرده‌ها بالا رفت و پیامدهای کردارهای خود را در جلوی چشم خود محسُم دیدند. انگشت ندامت به دندان می‌گیرند و اظهار ایمان می‌کنند؛ ایمانی که نه سودی دارد و نه ارزشی. ایمان انسانی ارزش دارد که در میان انجام کار یا ترک آن‌مخیّر باشد و نیز در جهانی باشد که بتواند مبداً خیر و شر گردد؛ ولی ایمان انسانی که در امواج آب چون پر کاهی از این سو به آن سو پرتاب می‌شود نمی‌تواند مفید و ارزشمند باشد.
