He said, "My Lord, prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me. And if You do not avert from me their plan, I might incline toward them and [thus] be of the ignorant."

He said, ‘My Lord! The prison is dearer to me than to what they invite me. If You do not turn away their schemes from me, I will incline towards them and become one of the senseless.’

He said: O my Lord! Prison is more dear than that unto which they urge me, and if Thou fend not off their wiles from me I shall incline unto them and become of the foolish.

He said: "O my Lord! the prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me: Unless Thou turn away their snare from me, I should (in my youthful folly) feel inclined towards them and join the ranks of the ignorant."

He said, 'My Lord, prison is dearer to me than that they call me to; yet if Thou turnest not from me their guile, then I shall yearn towards them, and so become one of the ignorant.'

یوسف گفت: پروردگارا! زندان نزد من محبوب تر است از عملی که مرا به آن می خوانند، و اگر نیرنگشان را از من نگردانی به آنان رغبت می کنم و از نادانان می شوم.

[یوسف‌] گفت: «پروردگارا، زندان برای من دوست‌داشتنی‌تر است از آنچه مرا به آن می‌خوانند، و اگر نیرنگ آنان را از من بازنگردانی، به سوی آنان خواهم گرایید و از [جمله‌] نادانان خواهم شد.»

Yusuf: "Rabbim! Hapis benim için, bunların istediklerini yapmaktan daha iyidir. Eğer tuzaklarını benden uzaklaştırmazsan onlara meyleder ve bilmeyenlerden olurum." dedi.

Yusuf berkata: "Wahai Tuhanku, penjara lebih aku sukai daripada memenuhi ajakan mereka kepadaku. Dan jika tidak Engkau hindarkan dari padaku tipu daya mereka, tentu aku akan cenderung untuk (memenuhi keinginan mereka) dan tentulah aku termasuk orang-orang yang bodoh".

یوسف نے کہا کہ پروردگار یہ قید مجھے اس کام سے زیادہ محبوب ہے جس کی طرف یہ لوگ دعوت دے رہی ہیں اور اگر تو ان کے مکر کو میری طرف سے موڑ نہ دے گا تو میں ان کی طرف مائل ہوسکتا ہوں اور میرا شمار بھی جاہلوں میں ہوسکتا ہے

ইউসুফ বললঃ হে পালনকর্তা তারা আমাকে যে কাজের দিকে আহবান করে, তার চাইতে আমি কারাগারই পছন্দ করি। যদি আপনি তাদের চক্রান্ত আমার উপর থেকে প্রতিহত না করেন, তবে আমি তাদের প্রতি আকৃষ্ট হয়ে পড়ব এবং অজ্ঞদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে যাব।
