يَٰصَٰحِبَىِ ٱلسِّجْنِ أَمَّآ أَحَدُكُمَا فَيَسْقِى رَبَّهُۥ خَمْرًا وَأَمَّا ٱلْـَٔاخَرُ فَيُصْلَبُ فَتَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّيْرُ مِن رَّأْسِهِۦ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ﴿٤١﴾
English
Saheeh International
O two companions of prison, as for one of you, he will give drink to his master of wine; but as for the other, he will be crucified, and the birds will eat from his head. The matter has been decreed about which you both inquire."

ای دو یار زندان! اما یکی از شما [از زندان رهایی می یابد و] سرور خود را شراب می نوشاند، اما دیگری به دار آویخته می شود و پرندگان از سر او خواهند خورد. تعبیر خوابی که از من جویا شدید، تحققّش قطعی و انجامش حتمی شده است.

ای دو رفیق زندانیم، اما یکی از شما به آقای خود باده مینوشاند، و اما دیگری به دار آویخته میشود و پرندگان از [مغز] سرش میخورند. امری که شما دو تن از من جویا شدید تحقق یافت.
