And when they entered from where their father had ordered them, it did not avail them against Allah at all except [it was] a need within the soul of Jacob, which he satisfied. And indeed, he was a possessor of knowledge because of what We had taught him, but most of the people do not know.

When they entered whence their father had bidden them, it did not avail them anything against Allah, but only fulfilled a wish in Jacob’s heart. Indeed, he had the knowledge of what We had taught him, but most people do not know.

And when they entered in the manner which their father had enjoined, it would have naught availed them as against Allah; it was but a need of Jacob's soul which he thus satisfied; and lo! he was a lord of knowledge because We had taught him; but most of mankind know not.

And when they entered in the manner their father had enjoined, it did not profit them in the least against (the plan of) Allah: It was but a necessity of Jacob's soul, which he discharged. For he was, by our instruction, full of knowledge (and experience): but most men know not.

And when they entered after the manner their father commanded them, it availed them nothing against God; but it was a need in Jacob's soul that he so satisfied. Verily he was possessed of a knowledge for that We had taught him; but most men know not.

هنگامی که فرزندان یعقوب از آنجایی که پدرشان دستور داده بود، وارد شدند، تدبیر یعقوب نمی توانست هیچ حادثه ای را که از سوی خدا رقم خورده بود، از آنان برطرف کند جز خواسته ای که در دل یعقوب بود [که فرزندانش به سلامت و دور از چشم زخم وارد شوند] که خدا آن را به انجام رساند، یعقوب به سبب آنکه تعلیمش داده بودیم از دانشی [ویژه] برخوردار بود ولی بیشتر مردم [که فقط چشمی ظاهربین دارند، این حقایق را] نمی دانند.

و چون همان گونه که پدرانشان به آنان فرمان داده بود وارد شدند، [این کار] چیزی را در برابر خدا از آنان برطرف نمی‌کرد جز اینکه یعقوب نیازی را که در دلش بود، برآورد و بی‌گمان، او از [برکت‌] آنچه بدو آموخته بودیم دارای دانشی [فراوان‌] بود، ولی بیشتر مردم نمی‌دانند.

Babalarının emrettiği gibi girdiler. Esasen bu, Allah katında onlara bir fayda sağlamazdı, ancak Yakub içindeki arzuyu ortaya koymuş oldu. O, şüphesiz kendisine öğrettiğimizi bilir fakat insanların çoğu bilmezler.

Dan tatkala mereka masuk menurut yang diperintahkan ayah mereka, maka (cara yang mereka lakukan itu) tiadalah melepaskan mereka sedikitpun dari takdir Allah, akan tetapi itu hanya suatu keinginan pada diri Ya'qub yang telah ditetapkannya. Dan sesungguhnya dia mempunyai pengetahuan, karena Kami telah mengajarkan kepadanya. Akan tetapi kebanyakan manusia tiada mengetahui.

اور جب وہ لوگ اسی طرح داخل ہوئے جس طرح ان کے والد نے کہا تھا اگرچہ وہ خدائی بلا کو ٹال نہیں سکتے تھے لیکن یہ ایک خواہش تھی جو یعقوب کے دل میں پیدا ہوئی جسے انہوں نے پورا کرلیا اور وہ ہمارے دئیے ہوئے علم کی بنا پر صاحبِ علم بھی تھے اگرچہ اکثر لوگ اس حقیقت سے بھی ناواقف ہیں

তারা যখন পিতার কথামত প্রবেশ করল, তখন আল্লাহর বিধানের বিরুদ্ধে তা তাদের বাঁচাতে পারল না। কিন্তু ইয়াকুবের সিদ্ধান্তে তাঁর মনের একটি বাসনা ছিল, যা তিনি পূর্ণ করেছেন। এবং তিনি তো আমার শেখানো বিষয় অবগত ছিলেন। কিন্তু অনেক মানুষ অবগত নয়।
