Do they [then] wait for anything except that the angels should come to them or your Lord should come or that there come some of the signs of your Lord? The Day that some of the signs of your Lord will come no soul will benefit from its faith as long as it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good. Say, "Wait. Indeed, we [also] are waiting."

Do they not consider that the angels may come to them, or your Lord may come, or some of your Lord’s signs may come? The day when some of your Lord’s signs do come, faith shall not benefit any soul that had not believed beforehand and had not earned some goodness in its faith. Say, ‘Wait! We too are waiting!’

Wait they, indeed, for nothing less than that the angels should come unto them, or thy Lord should come, or there should come one of the portents from thy Lord? In the day when one of the portents from thy Lord cometh, its belief availeth naught a soul which theretofore believed not, nor in its belief earned good (by works). Say: Wait ye! Lo! We (too) are waiting.

Are they waiting to see if the angels come to them, or thy Lord (Himself), or certain of the signs of thy Lord! the day that certain of the signs of thy Lord do come, no good will it do to a soul to believe in them then if it believed not before nor earned righteousness through its faith. Say: "Wait ye: we too are waiting."

What, do they look for the angels to come to them, nothing less, or that thy Lord should come, or that one of thy Lord's signs should come? On the day that one of thy Lord's signs comes it shall not profit a soul to believe that never believed before, or earned some good in his belief. Say: 'Watch and wait; We too are waiting.'

آیا جز این انتظار دارند که فرشتگانِ [عذاب] به سویشان آیند، یا [قیامت] پروردگارت [که روز جلوه کامل حق و ظهور وانکشاف تام توحید است] بیاید، یا برخی از نشانه های پروردگارت [مانند مرگ و آثار پس از آن] تحقق یابد؟ روزی که برخی از نشانه های پروردگارت به ظهور آید، ایمان آوردن کسی که پیش از این ایمان نیاورده یا در حال ایمانش عمل شایسته ای انجام نداده سودی نخواهد داشت. بگو: [شما با این وضع ناروایی که دارید] منتظر [عذاب] باشید. ما هم منتظریم [که عذاب خدا به شما برسد.]

آیا جز این انتظار دارند که فرشتگان به سویشان بیایند، یا پروردگارت بیاید، یا پاره‌ای از نشانه‌های پروردگارت بیاید؟ [اما] روزی که پاره‌ای از نشانه‌های پروردگارت [پدید] آید، کسی که قبلاً ایمان نیاورده یا خیری در ایمان آوردن خود به دست نیاورده، ایمان آوردنش سود نمی‌بخشد. بگو: «منتظر باشید که ما [هم‌] منتظریم.»

Onlar kendilerine meleklerin gelmesini mi, yoksa Rabbinin gelmesini mi, yahut Rablerinden bir takım mucizelerin gelmesini mi bekliyorlar? Rabbinin bir takım mucizeleri geldiği gün, bir kimse daha önce inanmamışsa veya imaniyle bir iyilik kazanmamışsa, imanı ona fayda vermez. Onlara: "Bekleyin, doğrusu biz de bekliyoruz" de.

Yang mereka nanti-nanti tidak lain hanyalah kedatangan malaikat kepada mereka (untuk mencabut nyawa mereka) atau kedatangan (siksa) Tuhanmu atau kedatangan beberapa ayat Tuhanmu. Pada hari datangnya ayat dari Tuhanmu, tidaklah bermanfaat lagi iman seseorang kepada dirinya sendiri yang belum beriman sebelum itu, atau dia (belum) mengusahakan kebaikan dalam masa imannya. Katakanlah: "Tunggulah olehmu sesungguhnya Kamipun menunggu (pula)".

یہ صرف اس بات کے منتظر ہیں کہ ان کے پاس ملائکہ آجائیں یا خود پروردگار آجائے یا اس کی بعض نشانیاں آجائیں تو جس دن اس کی بعض نشانیاں آجائیں گی اس دن جو نفس پہلے سے ایمان نہیں لایا ہے یا اس نے ایمان لانے کے بعد کوئی بھلائی نہیں کی ہے اس کے ایمان کا کوئی فائدہ نہ ہوگا تو اب کہہ دیجئے کہ تم لوگ بھی انتظار کرو اور میں بھی انتظار کررہا ہوں

তারা শুধু এ বিষয়ের দিকে চেয়ে আছে যে, তাদের কাছে ফেরেশতা আগমন করবে কিংবা আপনার পালনকর্তা আগমন করবেন অথবা আপনার পালনকর্তার কোন নির্দেশ আসবে। যেদিন আপনার পালনকর্তার কোন নিদর্শন আসবে, সেদিন এমন কোন ব্যক্তির বিশ্বাস স্থাপন তার জন্যে ফলপ্রসূ হবে না, যে পূর্ব থেকে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেনি কিংবা স্বীয় বিশ্বাস অনুযায়ী কোনরূপ সৎকর্ম করেনি। আপনি বলে দিনঃ তোমরা পথের দিকে চেয়ে থাক, আমরাও পথে দিকে তাকিয়ে রইলাম।
