ٱلَّذِينَ كَمَا ٱلَّذِينَ فَهُمْ لَا ﴿٢٠﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

Those to whom We have given the Scripture recognize it as they recognize their [own] sons. Those who will lose themselves [in the Hereafter] do not believe.

شناخت اهل کتاب از پیامبر(ص)

نقل شده است که عمر بن خطاب - خلیفةٌ دوم - روزی به عبدالله بن سلام که قبل از مسلمان شدن» از بزرگان و علمای یهود بوده گفت: آیا محمد(ص) را در کتاب خود (تورات) می‌شناسید؟ او گفت: آری» به خدا سوگنده هنگامی که او را در میان شما می‌بینیم» او را به همان صفاتی که خداوند برای ما وصف کرده» می‌شناسیم؛ همان‌گونه که یکی از ما پسرش را در میان پسران دیگر می‌شناسد و به خدایی که عبداله بن سلام به او سوگند می‌خوردء قسم می‌خورم که محمد(ص) را بهتر از پسرم می‌شناسم. ۱- المیزان» جچ۷ صص ۴۳ - ۲۸ ۲- پیشین» صص ۴۴ - ۴۱ ۳ پیشین» ص ۴۴ ٣- بیشین، ص P٣ > **Cited sources** (grade before any load-bearing use): al-Mīzān.

    Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital. They [are the ones who] believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it - it is they who are the losers.

  • وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَمِنْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِهِۦ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

    And thus We have sent down to you the Qur'an. And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture believe in it. And among these [people of Makkah] are those who believe in it…

  • أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ فَإِن يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَّيْسُوا۟ بِهَا بِكَٰفِرِينَ

    Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and prophethood. But if the disbelievers deny it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not therein…

  • فَلَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمْ إِن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا

    Then perhaps you would kill yourself through grief over them, [O Muhammad], if they do not believe in this message, [and] out of sorrow.

  • وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰٓ أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱكْتُبْنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ

    And when they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of what they have recognized of the truth. They say, "Our Lord, we…
