And when Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said, "How wretched is that by which you have replaced me after [my departure]. Were you impatient over the matter of your Lord?" And he threw down the tablets and seized his brother by [the hair of] his head, pulling him toward him. [Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, indeed the people oppressed me and were about to kill me, so let not the enemies rejoice over me and do not place me among the wrongdoing people."

When Moses returned to his people, angry and indignant, he said, ‘Evil has been your conduct in my absence! Would you hasten on the edict of your Lord?’ He threw down the tablets and seized his brother by the head, pulling him towards himself. He said, ‘Son of my mother, indeed this people thought me to be weak, and they were about to kill me. So do not let the enemies gloat over me, and do not take me with the wrongdoing lot.’

And when Moses returned unto his people, angry and grieved, he said: Evil is that (course) which ye took after I had left you. Would ye hasten on the judgment of your Lord? And he cast down the tablets, and he seized his brother by the head, dragging him toward him. He said: Son of my mother! Lo! the folk did judge me weak and almost killed me. Oh, make not mine enemies to triumph over me and place me not among the evil-doers.

When Moses came back to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "Evil it is that ye have done in my place in my absence: did ye make haste to bring on the judgment of your Lord?" He put down the tablets, seized his brother by (the hair of) his head, and dragged him to him. Aaron said: "Son of my mother! the people did indeed reckon me as naught, and went near to slaying me! Make not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune, nor count thou me amongst the people of sin."

And when Moses returned to his people, angry and sorrowful, he said, 'Evilly have you done in my place, after me; what, have you outstripped your Lord's commandment?' And he cast down the Tablets, and laid hold of his brother's head, dragging him to him. He said, 'Son of my mother, surely the people have abased me, and well nigh slain me. Make not my enemies to gloat over me, and put me not among the people of the evildoers.

و هنگامی که موسی [پس از آگاهی از آن پیش آمد خطرناک] خشمگین و بسیار اندوهناک به سوی قومش بازگشت، گفت: پس از من بد جانشینانی برایم بودید، آیا [با پرستش گوساله] بر فرمان پروردگارتان [که در تورات آمده] پیشی گرفتید [و صبر نکردید تا من بیایم و فرمان خدا را به شما ابلاغ کنم؟] و الواح را افکند و سر برادرش را گرفت [وبا خشم] او را به سوی خود می کشید. [هارون] گفت: ای فرزند مادرم! این گروه مرا ناتوان وزبون شمردند، و نزدیک بود مرا به قتل برسانند، پس مرا با مؤاخذه کردنم دشمنْ شاد مکن، و [هم طراز] باگروه ستمکاران قرار مده.

و چون موسی، خشمناک و اندوهگین به سوی قوم خود بازگشت، گفت: «پس از من چه بد جانشینی برای من بودید! آیا بر فرمان پروردگارتان پیشی گرفتید؟ و الواح را افکند و [موی‌] سر برادرش را گرفت و او را به طرف خود کشید. [هارون ] گفت: « ای فرزند مادرم، این قوم، مرا ناتوان یافتند و چیزی نمانده بود که مرا بکشند؛ پس مرا دشمن‌شاد مکن و مرا در شمار گروه ستمکاران قرار مده.

Musa, milletine, kızgın ve üzgün olarak dönünce "Benim arkamdan ne kötü olmuşsunuz! Rabbinizin emrinin çabucak gelmesini mi istiyorsunuz?" dedi, levhaları attı ve kardeşinin başından tutup kendine doğru çekti. Harun: "Ey annem oğlu! Bu millet beni küçümsedi; az kalsın öldürüyorlardı. Bana, düşmanları sevindirecek şekilde davranma, beni bu zalim milletle bir sayma" dedi.

Dan tatkala Musa telah kembali kepada kaumnya dengan marah dan sedih hati berkatalah dia: "Alangkah buruknya perbuatan yang kamu kerjakan sesudah kepergianku! Apakah kamu hendak mendahului janji Tuhanmu? Dan Musapun melemparkan luh-luh (Taurat) itu dan memegang (rambut) kepala saudaranya (Harun) sambil menariknya ke arahnya, Harun berkata: "Hai anak ibuku, sesungguhnya kaum ini telah menganggapku lemah dan hampir-hampir mereka membunuhku, sebab itu janganlah kamu menjadikan musuh-musuh gembira melihatku, dan janganlah kamu masukkan aku ke dalam golongan orang-orang yang zalim"

اورجب موسٰی علیھ السّلاماپنی قوم کی طرف واپس آئے تو غیظ و غضب کے عالم میں کہنے لگے کہ تم نے میرے بعد بہت بفِی حرکت کی ہے -تم نے حکم خدا کے آنے میں کس قدر عجلت سے کام لیا ہے اور پھر انہوں نے توریت کی تختیوں کو ڈال دیا اور اپنے بھائی کا سرپکڑ کر کھینچنے لگے -ہارون علیھ السّلامنے کہا بھائی قوم نے مجھے کمزور بنادیا تھا اور قریب تھاکہ مجھے قتل کردیتے تو میں کیا کرتا -آپ دشمنوں کو طعنہ کا موقع نہ دیجئے اور میرا شمار ظالمین کے ساتھ نہ کیجئے

তারপর যখন মূসা নিজ সম্প্রদায়ে ফিরে এলেন রাগাম্বিত ও অনুতপ্ত অবস্থায়, তখন বললেন, আমার অনুপস্থিতিতে তোমরা আমার কি নিকৃষ্ট প্রতিনিধিত্বটাই না করেছ। তোমরা নিজ পরওয়ারদেগারের হুকুম থেকে কি তাড়াহুড়া করে ফেললে এবং সে তখতীগুলো ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিলেন এবং নিজের ভাইয়ের মাথার চুল চেপে ধরে নিজের দিকে টানতে লাগলেন। ভাই বললেন, হে আমার মায়ের পুত্র, লোকগুলো যে আমাকে দুর্বল মনে করল এবং আমাকে যে মেরে ফেলার উপক্রম করেছিল। সুতরাং আমার উপর আর শত্রুদের হাসিও না। আর আমাকে জালিমদের সারিতে গন্য করো না।
