And he constructed the ship, and whenever an assembly of the eminent of his people passed by him, they ridiculed him. He said, "If you ridicule us, then we will ridicule you just as you ridicule.

As he was building the ark, whenever the elders of his people passed by him, they would ridicule him. He said, ‘If you ridicule us [today], we shall ridicule you [tomorrow] just as you ridicule us [now].

And he was building the ship, and every time that chieftains of his people passed him, they made mock of him. He said: Though ye make mock of Us, yet We mock at you even as ye mock;

Forthwith he (starts) constructing the Ark: Every time that the chiefs of his people passed by him, they threw ridicule on him. He said: "If ye ridicule us now, we (in our turn) can look down on you with ridicule likewise!

So he was making the Ark; and whenever a council of his people passed by him they scoffed at him, He said, 'If you scoff at us, we shall surely scoff at you, as you scoff

و [نوح] کشتی را می ساخت و هرگاه گروهی از [اشراف و سرانِ] قومش بر او عبور می کردند، او را به مسخره می گرفتند. گفت: اگر شما ما را مسخره می کنید، مسلماً ما هم شما را [به هنگام پدید آمدن توفان] همان گونه که ما را مسخره می کنید، مسخره خواهیم کرد.

و [نوح‌] کشتی را می‌ساخت، و هر بار که اشرافی از قومش بر او می‌گذشتند، او را مسخره می‌کردند. می‌گفت: «اگر ما را مسخره می‌کنید، ما [نیز] شما را همان گونه که مسخره می‌کنید، مسخره خواهیم کرد.»

Gemiyi yaparken, milletinin inkarcı ileri gelenleri yanına uğradıkça onunla alay ederlerdi. O da: "Bizimle alay ediyorsunuz ama, alay ettiğiniz gibi biz de sizinle alay edeceğiz; rezil edecek olan azabın kime geleceğini ve kime sürekli azabın ineceğini göreceksiniz" dedi.

Dan mulailah Nuh membuat bahtera. Dan setiap kali pemimpin kaumnya berjalan meliwati Nuh, mereka mengejeknya. Berkatalah Nuh: "Jika kamu mengejek kami, maka sesungguhnya kami (pun) mengejekmu sebagaimana kamu sekalian mengejek (kami).

اور نوح کشتی بنارہے تھے اور جب بھی قوم کی کسی جماعت کا گزر ہوتا تھا تو ان کا مذاق اڑاتے تھے -نوح نے کہا کہ اگر تم ہمارا مذاق اڑاؤ گے تو کل ہم اسی طرح تمہارا بھی مذاق اڑائیں گے

তিনি নৌকা তৈরী করতে লাগলেন, আর তাঁর কওমের নেতৃস্থানীয় ব্যক্তিরা যখন পার্শ্ব দিয়ে যেত, তখন তাঁকে বিদ্রুপ করত। তিনি বললেন, তোমরা যদি আমাদের উপহাস করে থাক, তবে তোমরা যেমন উপহাস করছ আমরাও তদ্রুপ তোমাদের উপহাস করছি।
