He said, "I saw what they did not see, so I took a handful [of dust] from the track of the messenger and threw it, and thus did my soul entice me."

He said, ‘I saw what they did not see. I took a handful [of dust] from the messenger’s trail and threw it. That is how my soul prompted me.’

He said: I perceived what they perceive not, so I seized a handful from the footsteps of the messenger, and then threw it in. Thus my soul commended to me.

He replied: "I saw what they saw not: so I took a handful (of dust) from the footprint of the Messenger, and threw it (into the calf): thus did my soul suggest to me."

'I beheld what they beheld not,' he said, 'and I seized a handful of dust from the messenger's track, and cast it into the thing. So my soul prompted me.'

گفت: من به حقایق و اسراری آگاه شدم که آنان آگاه نشدند، پس اندکی از دانش و اسرار رسول را گرفتم و [بر اثر هواپرستی] آن را دور انداختم [و به گوساله سازی پرداختم]؛ و این گونه نفس من [آن کار بسیار خطرناک را برای گمراه کردن بنی اسرائیل] در نظرم آراست.

گفت: «به چیزی که [دیگران‌] به آن پی نبردند، پی بردم، و به قدر مشتی از رد پای فرستاده [خدا، جبرئیل‌] برداشتم و آن را در پیکر [گوساله‌] انداختم، و نفس من برایم چنین فریبکاری کرد.»

Samiri: "Onların görmedikleri bir şey gördüm ve o sana gelen elçinin bastığı yerden bir avuç avuçladım. Bunu ziynet eşyasının eritildiği potaya attım. Nefsim böyle yaptırdı" dedi.

Samiri menjawab: "Aku mengetahui sesuatu yang mereka tidak mengetahuinya, maka aku ambil segenggam dari jejak rasul lalu aku melemparkannya, dan demikianlah nafsuku membujukku".

اس نے کہا کہ میں نے وہ دیکھا ہے جو ان لوگوں نے نہیں دیکھا ہے تو میں نے نمائندہ پروردگار کے نشانِ قدم کی ایک مٹھی خاک اٹھالی اور اس کو گوسالہ کے اندر ڈال دیا اور مجھے میرے نفس نے اسی طرح سمجھایا تھا

সে বললঃ আমি দেখলাম যা অন্যেরা দেখেনি। অতঃপর আমি সেই প্রেরিত ব্যক্তির পদচিহেߦ#2480; নীচ থেকে এক মুঠি মাটি নিয়ে নিলাম। অতঃপর আমি তা নিক্ষেপ করলাম। আমাকে আমার মন এই মন্ত্রণাই দিল।
