You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination.

You will surely be tested in your possessions and your souls, and you will surely hear much affront from those who were given the Book before you and from the polytheists; but if you are patient and Godwary, that is indeed the steadiest of courses.

Assuredly ye will be tried in your property and in your persons, and ye will hear much wrong from those who were given the Scripture before you, and from the idolaters. But if ye persevere and ward off (evil), then that is of the steadfast heart of things.

Ye shall certainly be tried and tested in your possessions and in your personal selves; and ye shall certainly Hear much that will grieve you, from those who received the Book before you and from those who worship many gods. But if ye persevere patiently, and guard against evil,-then that will be a determining factor in all affairs.

You shall surely be tried in your possessions and your selves, and you shall hear from those who were given the Book before you, and from those who are idolaters, much hurt; but if you are patient and godfearing -- surely that is true constancy.

یقیناً در اموال و جان هایتان امتحان خواهید شد، و مسلماً از کسانی که پیش از شما کتاب آسمانی به آنان داده شده و [نیز] از کسانی که شرک آوردند، سخنان رنج آور بسیاری خواهید شنید، و اگر [در برابر آزار اینان] شکیبایی ورزید و [از تجاوز از حدود الهی] بپرهیزید [سزاوارتر است.] این اموری است که ملازمت بر آن از واجبات است.

قطعاً در مالها و جانهایتان آزموده خواهید شد، و از کسانی که پیش از شما به آنان کتاب داده شده و [نیز] از کسانی که به شرک گراییده‌اند، [سخنان دل‌]آزار بسیاری خواهید شنید، و[لی‌] اگر صبر کنید و پرهیزگاری نمایید، این [ایستادگی‌] حاکی از عزم استوار [شما] در کارهاست.

And olsun ki mallarınız ve canlarınızla sınanacaksınız; hiç şüphesiz, sizden önce Kitap verilenlerden ve Allah'a eş koşanlardan çok üzücü sözler işiteceksiniz. Sabreder ve Allah'a karşı gelmekten sakınırsanız bilin ki, bu üzerinde sebat edilecek işlerdendir.

Kamu sungguh-sungguh akan diuji terhadap hartamu dan dirimu. Dan (juga) kamu sungguh-sungguh akan mendengar dari orang-orang yang diberi kitab sebelum kamu dan dari orang-orang yang mempersekutukan Allah, gangguan yang banyak yang menyakitkan hati. Jika kamu bersabar dan bertakwa, maka sesungguhnya yang demikian itu termasuk urusan yang patut diutamakan.

یقینا تم اپنے اموال اور نفوس کے ذریعہ آزمائے جاؤگے اور جن کو تم سے پہلے کتاب دی گئی ہے اور جو مشرک ہوگئے ہیں سب کی طرف سے بہت اذیت ناک باتیں سنوگے- اب اگر تم صبر کروگے اور تقوٰی اختیارکروگے تو یہی امورمیں استحکام کا سبب ہے

অবশ্য ধন-সম্পদে এবং জনসম্পদে তোমাদের পরীক্ষা হবে এবং অবশ্য তোমরা শুনবে পূর্ববর্তী আহলে কিতাবদের কাছে এবং মুশরেকদের কাছে বহু অশোভন উক্তি। আর যদি তোমরা ধৈর্য্য ধারণ কর এবং পরহেযগারী অবলম্বন কর, তবে তা হবে একান্ত সৎসাহসের ব্যাপার।
