And mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of 'Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf - and warners had already passed on before him and after him - [saying], "Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."

And mention [Hud] the brother of ‘Ad, when he warned his people at Ahqaf—and warners have passed away before and after him—saying, ‘Do not worship anyone but Allah. Indeed I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day.’

And make mention (O Muhammad) of the brother of A'ad when he warned his folk among the wind-curved sandhills - and verily warners came and went before and after him - saying: Serve none but Allah. Lo! I fear for you the doom of a tremendous Day.

Mention (Hud) one of 'Ad's (own) brethren: Behold, he warned his people about the winding Sand-tracts: but there have been warners before him and after him: "Worship ye none other than Allah: Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Mighty Day."

And remember the brother of Ad, when he warned his people beside the sand-dunes -- and already warners had passed away alike before him and behind him -- saying, 'Serve none but God! Truly I fear for you the chastisement of a dreadful day.

و [سرگذشت هود] برادر قوم عاد را یاد کن، هنگامی که قومش را در سرزمین احقاف بیم داد، و بی تردید بیم دهندگانی پیش از او و پس از او [در آن سرزمین] گذشته بودند که فقط خدا را بپرستید؛ زیرا من بر شما از عذاب روزی بزرگ می ترسم.

و برادر عادیان را به یاد آور، آنگاه که قوم خویش را در ریگستان بیم داد -در حالی که پیش از او و پس از او [نیز] قطعاً هشداردهندگانی گذشته بودند- که: «جز خدا را مپرستید؛ واقعاً من بر شما از عذاب روزی هولناک می‌ترسم.»

Ad milletinin kardeşi Hud'u an; ondan önce ve sonra, "Allah'tan başkasına kulluk etmeyin" diyen nice uyarıcılar gelip geçmişken, Ahkaf bölgesindeki milletini uyarmış "Doğrusu sizin için, büyük günün azabından korkuyorum" demişti.

Dan ingatlah (Hud) saudara kaum 'Aad yaitu ketika dia memberi peringatan kepada kaumnya di Al Ahqaaf dan sesungguhnya telah terdahulu beberapa orang pemberi peringatan sebelumnya dan sesudahnya (dengan mengatakan): "Janganlah kamu menyembah selain Allah, sesungguhnya aku khawatir kamu akan ditimpa azab hari yang besar".

اور قوم عاد کے بھائی ہود کو یاد کیجئے کہ انہوں نے اپنی قوم کو احقاف میں ڈرایا .... اور ان کے قبل و بعد بہت سے پیغمبر علیھ السّلام گزر چکے ہیں .... کہ خبردار اللہ کے علاوہ کسی کی عبادت نہ کرو میں تمہارے بارے میں ایک بڑے سخت دن کے عذاب سے خوفزدہ ہوں

আ’দ সম্প্রদায়ের ভাইয়ের কথা স্মরণ করুন, তার পূর্বে ও পরে অনেক সতর্ককারী গত হয়েছিল সে তার সম্প্রদায়কে বালুকাময় উচ্চ উপত্যকায় এ মর্মে সতর্ক করেছিল যে, তোমরা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কারও এবাদত করো না। আমি তোমাদের জন্যে এক মহাদিবসের শাস্তির আশংকা করি।
