They said, "Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what it is." [Moses] said, "[Allah] says, 'It is a cow which is neither old nor virgin, but median between that,' so do what you are commanded."

They said, ‘Invoke your Lord for us that He may clarify for us what she may be.’ He said, ‘He says, she is a cow, neither old nor young, of a middle age. Now do what you are commanded.’

They said: Pray for us unto thy Lord that He make clear to us what (cow) she is. (Moses) answered: Lo! He saith, Verily she is a cow neither with calf nor immature; (she is) between the two conditions; so do that which ye are commanded.

They said: "Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us what (heifer) it is!" He said; "He says: The heifer should be neither too old nor too young, but of middling age. Now do what ye are commanded!"

They said, 'Pray to thy Lord for us, that He may make clear to us what she may be.' He said, 'He says she is a cow neither old, nor virgin, middling between the two; so do that you are bidden.'

گفتند: از پروردگارت بخواه برای ما بیان کند که آن گاو چگونه گاوی باشد؟ گفت: او می فرماید که آن گاوی است نه پیر از کارمانده، نه جوان نارسیده، [بلکه] گاوی میان این دو نوع گاو است. پس آنچه را به آن فرمان داده اند، انجام دهید.

گفتند: «پروردگارت را برای ما بخوان، تا بر ما روشن سازد که آن چگونه [گاوی‌] است؟» گفت: «وی می‌فرماید: آن ماده گاوی است نه پیر و نه خردسال، [بلکه‌] میانسالی است بین این دو. پس آنچه را [بدان ]مأمورید به جای آرید.»

"Rabbine bizim adımıza yalvar da onun mahiyetini bize bildirsin" dediler, "O, onun ne pek kart, ne pek körpe, ikisi ortası bir sığır olduğunu söylüyor, size emrolunanı yapın" dedi.

Mereka menjawab: "Mohonkanlah kepada Tuhanmu untuk kami, agar Dia menerangkan kepada kami; sapi betina apakah itu". Musa menjawab: "Sesungguhnya Allah berfirman bahwa sapi betina itu adalah sapi betina yang tidak tua dan tidak muda; pertengahan antara itu; maka kerjakanlah apa yang diperintahkan kepadamu".

ان لوگوں نے کہا کہ اچھا خدا سے دعا کیجئے کہ ہمیں اس کی حقیقت بتائے. انہوں نے کہا کہ ایسی گائے چاہئے جو نہ بوڑھی ہو نہ بچہ. درمیانی قسم کی ہو. اب حکم خدا پر عمل کرو

তারা বলল, তুমি তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে আমাদের জন্য প্রার্থনা কর, যেন সেটির রূপ বিশ্লেষণ করা হয়। মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তিনি বলছেন, সেটা হবে একটা গাভী, যা বৃদ্ধ নয় এবং কুমারীও নয়-বার্ধক্য ও যৌবনের মাঝামাঝি বয়সের। এখন আদিষ্ট কাজ করে ফেল।
