Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those who were before them? They were greater than them in strength and in impression on the land, but Allah seized them for their sins. And they had not from Allah any protector.

Have they not travelled through the land so that they may observe how was the fate of those who were before them? They were greater than them in might and with respect to the effects [they left] in the land. But then Allah seized them for their sins, and they had no defender against Allah [’s punishment].

Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those who disbelieved before them? They were mightier than these in power and (in the) traces (which they left behind them) in the earth. Yet Allah seized them for their sins, and they had no protector from Allah.

Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were even superior to them in strength, and in the traces (they have left) in the land: but Allah did call them to account for their sins, and none had they to defend them against Allah.

What, have they not journeyed in the land and beheld how was the end of those before them? They were stronger than themselves in might and left firmer traces in the earth; yet God seized them in their sins, and they had none to defend them from God.

آیا در زمین گردش نکردند تا با تأمل بنگرند که سرانجام کسانی که پیش از آنان بودند، چگونه بود؟ آنان از ایشان نیرومندتر بودند، و در زمین آثاری پایدارتر [چون قلعه ها، خانه های استوار و کاخ های بسیار محکم] داشتند، پس خدا آنان را به کیفر گناهانشان [به عذاب] گرفت، و در برابر خدا مدافع و حمایت گری نداشتند.

آیا در زمین نگردیده‌اند تا ببینند فرجام کسانی که پیش از آنها [زیسته‌]اند چگونه بوده است؟ آنها از ایشان نیرومندتر [بوده‌] و آثار [پایدارتری‌] در روی زمین [از خود باقی گذاشتند]، با این همه، خدا آنان را به کیفر گناهانشان گرفتار کرد و در برابر خدا حمایتگری نداشتند.

Yeryüzünde dolaşıp, kendilerinden önce ve kendilerinden daha kuvvetli olan ve yeryüzünde daha çok eser bırakan kimselerin sonuçlarının nasıl olduğunu görmezler mi? Allah onları suçlarıyla yakalamıştır. Allah'a karşı onları koruyan yoktur.

Dan apakah mereka tidak mengadakan perjalanan di muka bumi, lalu memperhatikan betapa kesudahan orang-orang yang sebelum mereka. Mereka itu adalah lebih hebat kekuatannya daripada mereka dan (lebih banyak) bekas-bekas mereka di muka bumi, maka Allah mengazab mereka disebabkan dosa-dosa mereka. Dan mereka tidak mempunyai seorang pelindung dari azab Allah.

کیا ان لوگوں نے زمین میں سیر نہیں کی کہ دیکھتے کہ ان سے پہلے والوں کا انجام کیا ہوا ہے جو ان سے زیادہ زبردست قوت رکھنے والے تھے اور زمین میں آثار کے مالک تھے پھر خدا نے انہیں ان کے گناہوں کی گرفت میں لے لیا اور اللہ کے مقابلہ میں ان کا کوئی بچانے والا نہیں تھا

তারা কি দেশ-বিদেশ ভ্রমণ করে না, যাতে দেখত তাদের পূর্বসুরিদের কি পরিণাম হয়েছে? তাদের শক্তি ও কীর্তি পৃথিবীতে এদের অপেক্ষা অধিকতর ছিল। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাদেরকে তাদের গোনাহের কারণে ধৃত করেছিলেন এবং আল্লাহ থেকে তাদেরকে রক্ষাকারী কেউ হয়নি।
