And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was of the jinn and departed from the command of his Lord. Then will you take him and his descendants as allies other than Me while they are enemies to you? Wretched it is for the wrongdoers as an exchange.

When We said to the angels, ‘Prostrate before Adam,’ they prostrated, but not Iblis. He was one of the jinn, so he transgressed against his Lord’s command. Will you then take him and his offspring for guardians in My stead, though they are your enemies? How evil a substitute for the wrongdoers!

And (remember) when We said unto the angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, and they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He was of the jinn, so he rebelled against his Lord's command. Will ye choose him and his seed for your protecting friends instead of Me, when they are an enemy unto you? Calamitous is the exchange for evil-doers.

Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers!

And when We said to the angels, 'Bow yourselves to Adam'; so they bowed themselves, save Iblis; he was one of the jinn, and committed ungodliness against his Lord's command. What, and do you take him and his seed to be your friends, apart from Me, and they an enemy to you? How evil is that exchange for the evildoers!

و [یاد کن] هنگامی را که به فرشتگان گفتیم: برای آدم سجده کنید. پس همه سجده کردند، جز ابلیس که از گروه جن بود، پس او از دایره فرمان پروردگارش بیرون رفت. [با این حال] آیا او و نسلش را به جای من سرپرست و یاور خود می گیرید، در حالی که آنها دشمن شمایند؟! [ابلیس ونسلش] برای ستمکاران، بد جایگزینی [به جای خدا] هستند.

و [یاد کن‌] هنگامی را که به فرشتگان گفتیم: «آدم را سجده کنید،» پس [همه‌] -جز ابلیس- سجده کردند، که از [گروه‌] جن بود و از فرمان پروردگارش سرپیچید. آیا [با این حال،] او و نسلش را به جای من دوستان خود می‌گیرید، و حال آنکه آنها دشمن شمایند؟ و چه بد جانشینانی برای ستمگرانند.

Meleklere: "Adem'e secde edin" demiştik. İblis'ten başka hepsi secde etmişti. O, cinlerden idi. Rabbinin buyruğu dışına çıktı. Ey insanoğulları! Siz Beni bırakıp onu ve soyunu dost mu ediniyorsunuz? Halbuki onlar size düşmandır. Kendilerine yazık edenler için bu ne kötü değişmedir!

Dan (ingatlah) ketika Kami berfirman kepada para malaikat: "Sujudlah kamu kepada Adam, maka sujudlah mereka kecuali Iblis. Dia adalah dari golongan jin, maka ia mendurhakai perintah Tuhannya. Patutkah kamu mengambil dia dan turanan-turunannya sebagai pemimpin selain daripada-Ku, sedang mereka adalah musuhmu? Amat buruklah iblis itu sebagai pengganti (dari Allah) bagi orang-orang yang zalim.

اور جب ہم نے ملائکہ سے کہا کہ آدم کو سجدہ کرو تو ابلیس کے علاوہ سب نے سجدہ کرلیا کہ وہ جناّت میں سے تھا پھر تو اس نے حکم خدا سے سرتابی کی تو کیا تم لوگ مجھے چھوڑ کر شیطان اور اس کی اولاد کو اپنا سرپرست بنا رہے ہو جب کہ وہ سب تمہارے دشمن ہیں یہ تو ظالمین کے لئے بدترین بدل ہے

যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন সবাই সেজদা করল ইবলীস ব্যতীত। সে ছিল জিনদের একজন। সে তার পালনকর্তার আদেশ অমান্য করল। অতএব তোমরা কি আমার পরিবর্তে তাকে এবং তার বংশধরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করছ? অথচ তারা তোমাদের শত্রু। এটা জালেমদের জন্যে খুবই নিকৃষ্ট বদল।
