[Iblees] said, "Do You see this one whom You have honored above me? If You delay me until the Day of Resurrection, I will surely destroy his descendants, except for a few."

Said he, ‘Do You see this one whom You have honoured above me? If You respite me until the Day of Resurrection, I will surely lay my yoke on his progeny, [all] except a few.’

He said: Seest Thou this (creature) whom Thou hast honoured above me, if Thou give me grace until the Day of Resurrection I verily will seize his seed, save but a few.

He said: "Seest Thou? this is the one whom Thou hast honoured above me! If Thou wilt but respite me to the Day of Judgment, I will surely bring his descendants under my sway - all but a few!"

He said, 'What thinkest Thou? This whom Thou hast honoured above me -- if Thou deferrest me to the Day of Resurrection I shall assuredly master his seed, save a few.'

[سپس] گفت: مرا خبر ده این کسی که او را بر من برتری دادی [سببش چه بود؟] اگر تا قیامت مهلتم بخشی، بی تردید فرزندانش را جز اندکی لجام می زنم [و به دنبال خود به عرصه هلاکت و نابودی می کشم.]

[سپس‌] گفت: «به من بگو: این کسی را که بر من برتری دادی [برای چه بود]؟ اگر تا روز قیامت مهلتم دهی قطعاً فرزندانش را -جز اندکی [از آنها]- ریشه‌کن خواهم کرد.»

"Benden üstün kıldığını görüyor musun? Kıyamet gününe kadar beni ertelersen, and olsun ki, azı bir yana, onun soyunu kendi buyruğum altına alacağım" demişti.

Dia (iblis) berkata: "Terangkanlah kepadaku inikah orangnya yang Engkau muliakan atas diriku? Sesungguhnya jika Engkau memberi tangguh kepadaku sampai hari kiamat, niscaya benar-benar akan aku sesatkan keturunannya, kecuali sebahagian kecil".

کیا تو نے دیکھا ہے کہ یہ کیا شے ہے جسے میرے اوپر فضیلت د ے دی ہے اب اگر تو نے مجھے قیامت تک کی مہلت دے دی تو میں ان کی ذریت میں چند افراد کے علاوہ سب کا گلا گھونٹتا رہوں گا

সে বললঃ দেখুন তো, এনা সে ব্যক্তি, যাকে আপনি আমার চাইতেও উচ্চ মার্যাদা দিয়ে দিয়েছেন। যদি আপনি আমাকে কেয়ামত দিবস পর্যন্ত সময় দেন, তবে আমি সামান্য সংখ্যক ছাড়া তার বংশধরদেরকে সমূলে নষ্ট করে দেব।
