79

عَلَىٰ فِى ٱلَّذِينَ يَٰلَيْتَ لَنَا مَآ قَٰرُونُ إِنَّهُۥ لَذُو ﴿٧٩﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

So he came out before his people in his adornment. Those who desired the worldly life said, "Oh, would that we had like what was given to Qarun. Indeed, he is one of great fortune."

جنون نمایش ثروت

ثروتمندان مغرور معمولاً گرفتار انواعی از جنون می‌شوند و یک شاخهٌ آن» جنون نمایش ثروت است. آنها از این که ثروت خود را به رخ دیگران بکشندء لذت می‌برند و از این که سوار مرکب راهوار خود شوند و از میان پابرهنه‌ها بگذرند و گرد و غبار بر صورت آنها بیفشانند و تحقیرشان کنند. احساس آرامش خاطر می‌کنند. البته همین نمایش ثروت غالبا آفت جانشان می‌شود؛ زیرا کینه‌ها را در سینه‌ها پرورش می‌دهد و احساسات را ضد آنها بسیج می‌کند. بسیار می‌شود که همین عمل زشت شرم‌آور» طومار زندگی آنها را در هم می‌پیچد یا ثروتشان را بر باد می‌دهد. ممکن است این کار جنون‌آمیزء انگیزه‌ای مانند تطمیع افراد طمعکار و تسلیم افراد سرکش داشته باشد؛ ولی آنها حتی بدون این انگیزه این عمل را انجام می‌دهند. این نوعی هوس است و نه برنامه و نقشه. به هر حال» قارون از این قانون مستفنی نبود؛ بلکه نمونة بارز آن بود.
