توصیفی رسا از درختان بهشتی

تعبیر این یه رساترین توصیفی است که برای درختان بهشتی در قالب الفاظ دنیوی امکان‌پذیر است؛ زیرا سدر درختی تناور است که بلندی‌اش گاه تا چهل متر می‌رسد و می‌گویند که تا دو هزار سال عمر می‌کند و سایةٌ بسیار سنگین و لطیفی دارد. تنها عیب این درخت این است که خار دارد؛ ولی وصف مخضود - از ماد خضد به معنای بی‌خار - نشان می‌دهد که این مشکل نیز در درختان سدر بهشتی حل شده است. در روایتی از پیامبر(ص) می‌خوانیم: «خداوند. خارهای آن درختان بهشتی را قطع کرده و به جای هر خارء میوه‌ای قرار داده که هر میوه‌ای هفتاد و دو نوع مادةٌ غذایی دارد که هیچ یک به دیگری شباهتی ندارد.»!
