So if they argue with you, say, "I have submitted myself to Allah [in Islam], and [so have] those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture and [to] the unlearned, "Have you submitted yourselves?" And if they submit [in Islam], they are rightly guided; but if they turn away - then upon you is only the [duty of] notification. And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants.

If they argue with you, say, ‘I have submitted my will to Allah, and [so has] he who follows me.’ And say to those who were given the Book and the uninstructed ones, ‘Do you submit?’ If they submit, they will certainly be guided; but if they turn away, then your duty is only to communicate, and Allah watches His servants.

And if they argue with thee, (O Muhammad), say: I have surrendered my purpose to Allah and (so have) those who follow me. And say unto those who have received the Scripture and those who read not: Have ye (too) surrendered? If they surrender, then truly they are rightly guided, and if they turn away, then it is thy duty only to convey the message (unto them). Allah is Seer of (His) bondmen.

So if they dispute with thee, say: "I have submitted My whole self to Allah and so have those who follow me." And say to the People of the Book and to those who are unlearned: "Do ye (also) submit yourselves?" If they do, they are in right guidance, but if they turn back, Thy duty is to convey the Message; and in Allah's sight are (all) His servants.

So if they dispute with thee, say: 'I have surrendered my will to God, and whosoever follows me. And say to those who have been given the Book and to the common folk: 'Have you surrendered?' If they have surrendered, they are right guided; but if they turn their backs, thine it is only to deliver the Message; and God sees His servants.

پس اگر با تو جدال و گفتگوی خصومت آمیز کردند، [فقط در پاسخشان] بگو: من و همه پیروانمْ وجود خود را تسلیم خدا کرده ایم. و به اهل کتاب و به بی سوادانِ [مشرک] بگو: آیا شما هم تسلیم شده اید؟ پس اگر تسلیم شوند، قطعاً هدایت یافته اند، و اگر روی گرداندند [برتو دشوار و سخت نیاید] که آنچه بر عهده توست فقط ابلاغ [پیام خدا] ست؛ و خدا به بندگان بیناست.

پس اگر با تو به محاجّه برخاستند، بگو: «من خود را تسلیم خدا نموده‌ام، و هر که مرا پیروی کرده [نیز خود را تسلیم خدا نموده است‌].» و به کسانی که اهل کتابند و به مشرکان بگو: «آیا اسلام آورده‌اید؟» پس اگر اسلام آوردند، قطعاً هدایت یافته‌اند، و اگر روی برتافتند، فقط رساندن پیام بر عهده توست، و خداوند به [امور] بندگان بیناست.

Eğer seninle tartışmaya girişirlerse, "Ben bana uyanlarla birlikte kendimi Allah'a verdim" de. Kendilerine Kitap verilenlere ve kitapsızlara: "Siz de İslam oldunuz mu?" de, şayet İslam olurlarsa doğru yola girmişlerdir, yüz çevirirlerse, sana yalnız tebliğ etmek düşer. Allah kullarını görür.

Kemudian jika mereka mendebat kamu (tentang kebenaran Islam), maka katakanlah: "Aku menyerahkan diriku kepada Allah dan (demikian pula) orang-orang yang mengikutiku". Dan katakanlah kepada orang-orang yang telah diberi Al Kitab dan kepada orang-orang yang ummi: "Apakah kamu (mau) masuk Islam". Jika mereka masuk Islam, sesungguhnya mereka telah mendapat petunjuk, dan jika mereka berpaling, maka kewajiban kamu hanyalah menyampaikan (ayat-ayat Allah). Dan Allah Maha Melihat akan hamba-hamba-Nya.

اے پیغمبر اگر یہ لوگ آپ سے کٹ حجتی کریں تو کہہ دیجئے کہ میرا رخ تمام تر اللہ کی طرف ہے اور میرے پیرو بھی ایسے ہی ہیں اور پھر اہلِ کتاب اور جاہل مشرکین سے پوچھئے کیا تم اسلام لے آئے- اگر وہ اسلام لے آئے تو گویا ہدایت پاگئے اور اگر منہ پھیر لیا تو آپ کا فرض صرف تبلیغ تھا اور اللہ اپنے بندوں کو خوب پہچانتا ہے

যদি তারা তোমার সাথে বিতর্কে অবতীর্ণ হয় তবে বলে দাও, "আমি এবং আমার অনুসরণকারীগণ আল্লাহর প্রতি আত্নসমর্পণ করেছি।" আর আহলে কিতাবদের এবং নিরক্ষরদের বলে দাও যে, তোমরাও কি আত্নসমর্পণ করেছ? তখন যদি তারা আত্নসমর্পণ করে, তবে সরল পথ প্রাপ্ত হলো, আর যদি মুখ ঘুরিয়ে নেয়, তাহলে তোমার দায়িত্ব হলো শুধু পৌছে দেয়া। আর আল্লাহর দৃষ্টিতে রয়েছে সকল বান্দা।
