And when a faction of them said, "O people of Yathrib, there is no stability for you [here], so return [home]." And a party of them asked permission of the Prophet, saying, "Indeed, our houses are unprotected," while they were not exposed. They did not intend except to flee.

And when a group of them said, ‘O people of Yathrib! [This is] not a place for you, so go back!’ A group of them sought the Prophet’s permission [to leave the scene of battle], saying, ‘Our homes lie exposed [to the enemy],’ although they were not exposed. They only sought to flee.

And when a party of them said: O folk of Yathrib! There is no stand (possible) for you, therefor turn back. And certain of them (even) sought permission of the Prophet, saying: Our homes lie open (to the enemy). And they lay not open. They but wished to flee.

Behold! A party among them said: "Ye men of Yathrib! ye cannot stand (the attack)! therefore go back!" And a band of them ask for leave of the Prophet, saying, "Truly our houses are bare and exposed," though they were not exposed they intended nothing but to run away.

And when a party of them said, 'O people of Yathrib, there is no abiding here for you, therefore return!' And a part of them Were asking leave of the Prophet, saying, 'Our houses are exposed'; yet they were not exposed; they desired only to flee.

و آن گاه که گروهی از آنان گفتند: ای اهل مدینه! [میدان نبرد] جای درنگ و ماندن شما نیست، پس برگردید. و گروهی از آنان از پیامبر اجازه [برگشتن] می خواستند، و می گفتند: خانه های ما بدون حفاظ است. در صورتی که بدون حفاظ نبود، و آنان جز فرار را قصد نداشتند!

و چون گروهی از آنان گفتند: «ای مردم مدینه، دیگر شما را جای درنگ نیست، برگردید.» و گروهی از آنان از پیامبر اجازه می‌خواستند و می‌گفتند: «خانه‌های ما بی‌حفاظ است» و[لی خانه‌هایشان‌] بی‌حفاظ نبود، [آنان‌] جز گریز [از جهاد] چیزی نمی‌خواستند.

İçlerinden bir takımı: "Ey Medineliler! Tutunacak yeriniz yok, geri dönün" demişti. İçlerinden bir topluluk da Peygamberden: "Evlerimiz düşmana açıktır" diyerek izin istemişlerdi. Oysa evleri açık değildi sadece kaçmak istiyorlardı.

Dan (ingatlah) ketika segolongan di antara mreka berkata: "Hai penduduk Yatsrib (Madinah), tidak ada tempat bagimu, maka kembalilah kamu". Dan sebahagian dari mereka minta izin kepada Nabi (untuk kembali pulang) dengan berkata: "Sesungguhnya rumah-rumah kami terbuka (tidak ada penjaga)". Dan rumah-rumah itu sekali-kali tidak terbuka, mereka tidak lain hanya hendak lari.

اور جب ان کے ایک گروہ نے کہہ دیا کہ مدینہ والو اب یہاں ٹھکانا نہیں ہے لہذا واپس بھاگ چلو اور ان میں سے ایک گروہ نبی سے اجازت مانگ رہا تھا کہ ہمارے گھر خالی پڑے ہوئے ہیں حالانکہ وہ گھر خالی نہیں تھے بلکہ یہ لوگ صرف بھاگنے کا ارادہ کررہے تھے

এবং যখন তাদের একদল বলেছিল, হে ইয়াসরেববাসী, এটা টিকবার মত জায়গা নয়, তোমরা ফিরে চল। তাদেরই একদল নবীর কাছে অনুমতি প্রার্থনা করে বলেছিল, আমাদের বাড়ী-ঘর খালি, অথচ সেগুলো খালি ছিল না, পলায়ন করাই ছিল তাদের ইচ্ছা।
