And they did not appraise Allah with true appraisal when they said, "Allah did not reveal to a human being anything." Say, "Who revealed the Scripture that Moses brought as light and guidance to the people? You [Jews] make it into pages, disclosing [some of] it and concealing much. And you were taught that which you knew not - neither you nor your fathers." Say, "Allah [revealed it]." Then leave them in their [empty] discourse, amusing themselves.

They did not regard Allah with the regard due to Him when they said, ‘Allah has not sent down anything to any human.’ Say, ‘Who had sent down the Book that was brought by Moses as a light and guidance for the people, which you make into parchments that you display, while you conceal much of it, and [by means of which] you were taught what you did not know, [neither] you nor your fathers?’ Say, ‘Allah!’ Then leave them to play around in their impious gossip.

And they measure not the power of Allah its true measure when they say: Allah hath naught revealed unto a human being. Say (unto the Jews who speak thus): Who revealed the Book which Moses brought, a light and guidance for mankind, which ye have put on parchments which ye show, but ye hide much (thereof), and (by which) ye were taught that which ye knew not yourselves nor (did) your fathers (know it)? Say: Allah. Then leave them to their play of cavilling.

No just estimate of Allah do they make when they say: "Nothing doth Allah send down to man (by way of revelation)" Say: "Who then sent down the Book which Moses brought?- a light and guidance to man: But ye make it into (separate) sheets for show, while ye conceal much (of its contents): therein were ye taught that which ye knew not- neither ye nor your fathers." Say: "Allah (sent it down)": Then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling.

They measured not God with His true measure when they said, 'God has not sent down aught on any mortal.' Say: 'Who sent down the Book that Moses brought as a light and a guidance to men? You put it into parchments, revealing them, and hiding much; and you were taught that you knew not, you and your fathers.' Say: 'God.' Then leave them alone, playing their game of plunging.

[یهودیان بر ضد پیامبر اسلام به سفسطه گری پرداختند چون] آنان خدا را آن گونه که سزاوار اوست نشناختند، چرا که گفتند: خدا بر هیچ بشری چیزی نازل نکرده. بگو: کتابی را که موسی آورده چه کسی نازل کرده؟ کتابی که برای مردمْ نور [و روشنگر حقایق] و [سرتاسر] هدایت است، شما آن را در طومارهای پراکنده قرار می دهید، بخشی از آن را [که دلخواه شماست برای مردم] آشکار می کنید و بسیاری از آن را [که گواه نبوّت پیامبر اسلام است] پنهان می دارید و حال آنکه حقایقی که نه شما می دانستید و نه پدرانتان [به وسیله تورات] به شما آموخته شد. بگو: خدا، سپس آنان را رها کن تا در باطل گویی و خرافاتشان بازی کنند.

و آنگاه که [یهودیان‌] گفتند: «خدا چیزی بر بشری نازل نکرده»، بزرگی خدا را چنانکه باید نشناختند. بگو: «چه کسی آن کتابی را که موسی آورده است نازل کرده؟ [همان کتابی که‌] برای مردم روشنایی و رهنمود است، [و] آن را به صورت طومارها درمی‌آورید. [آنچه را] از آن [می‌خواهید] آشکار و بسیاری را پنهان می‌کنید، در صورتی که چیزی که نه شما می‌دانستید و نه پدرانتان، [به وسیله آن‌] به شما آموخته شد.» بگو: «خدا [همه را فرستاده‌]»؛ آنگاه بگذار تا در ژرفای [باطل‌] خود به بازی [سرگرم‌] شوند.

"Allah hiçbir insana bir şey indirmemiştir" demekle Allah'ı gereği gibi değerlendiremediler. De ki: "Musa'nın insanlara nur ve yol gösterici olarak getirdiği Kitap'ı kim indirdi? Ki siz onu kağıtlara yazıp bir kısmını gösterip çoğunu gizlersiniz, atalarınızın ve sizin bilmediğiniz size onunla öğretilmiştir." "Allah" de, sonra da onları daldıkları sapıklıkta bırak, oynasınlar.

Dan mereka tidak menghormati Allah dengan penghormatan yang semestinya, di kala mereka berkata: "Allah tidak menurunkan sesuatupun kepada manusia". Katakanlah: "Siapakah yang menurunkan kitab (Taurat) yang dibawa oleh Musa sebagai cahaya dan petunjuk bagi manusia, kamu jadikan kitab itu lembaran-lembaran kertas yang bercerai-berai, kamu perlihatkan (sebahagiannya) dan kamu sembunyikan sebahagian besarnya, padahal telah diajarkan kepadamu apa yang kamu dan bapak-bapak kamu tidak mengetahui(nya)?" Katakanlah: "Allah-lah (yang menurunkannya)", kemudian (sesudah kamu menyampaikan Al Quran kepada mereka), biarkanlah mereka bermain-main dalam kesesatannya.

اور ان لوگوں نے واقعی خدا کی قدر نہیں کی جب کہ یہ کہہ دیا کہ اللہ نے کسی بشر پر کچھ نہیں نازل کیا ہے تو ان سے پوچھئے کہ یہ کتاب جو موسٰی علیھ السّلاملے کر آئے تھے جو نور اور لوگوں کے لئے ہدایت تھی اور جسے تم نے چند کاغذات بنادیا ہے اور کچھ حصّہ ظاہر کیا اور کچھ چھپادیا حالانکہ اس کے ذریعہ تمہیں وہ سب بتادیا گیا تھا جو تمہارے باپ دادا کو بھی نہیں معلوم تھا یہ سب کس نے نازل کیا ہے اب آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ وہ وہی اللہ ہے اور پھر انہیں چھوڑ دیجئے یہ اپنی بکواس میں کھیلتے پھریں

তারা আল্লাহকে যথার্থ মূল্যায়ন করতে পারেনি, যখন তারা বললঃ আল্লাহ কোন মানুষের প্রতি কোন কিছু অবতীর্ণ করেননি। আপনি জিজ্ঞেস করুনঃ ঐ গ্রন্থ কে নাযিল করেছে, যা মূসা নিয়ে এসেছিল ? যা জ্যোতিবিশেষ এবং মানব মন্ডলীর জন্যে হোদায়েতস্বরূপ, যা তোমরা বিক্ষিপ্তপত্রে রেখে লোকদের জন্যে প্রকাশ করছ এবং বহুলাংশকে গোপন করছ। তোমাদেরকে এমন অনেক বিষয় শিক্ষা দেয়া হয়েছে, যা তোমরা এবং তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষরা জানতো না। আপনি বলে দিনঃ আল্লাহ নাযিল করেছেন। অতঃপর তাদেরকে তাদের ক্রীড়ামূলক বৃত্তিতে ব্যাপৃত থাকতে দিন।
