So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.

So We answered his prayer, and gave him John, and cured for him his wife [of infertility]. Indeed, they were active in [performing] good works, and they would supplicate Us with eagerness and awe and were humble before Us.

Then We heard his prayer, and bestowed upon him John, and adjusted his wife (to bear a child) for him. Lo! they used to vie one with the other in good deeds, and they cried unto Us in longing and in fear, and were submissive unto Us.

So We listened to him: and We granted him Yahya: We cured his wife's (Barrenness) for him. These (three) were ever quick in emulation in good works; they used to call on Us with love and reverence, and humble themselves before Us.

So We answered him, and bestowed on him John, and We set his wife right for him; truly they vied with one another, hastening to good works, and called upon Us out of yearning and awe; and they were humble to Us.

پس [ندای] او را اجابت کردیم و یحیی را به او بخشیدیم و نازایی همسرش را برای وی اصلاح نمودیم، آنان همواره در کارهای خیر می شتافتند، و ما را از روی امید و بیم می خواندند، و پیوسته در برابر ما فروتن بودند.

پس [دعای‌] او را اجابت نمودیم، و یحیی را بدو بخشیدیم و همسرش را برای او شایسته [و آماده حمل‌] کردیم، زیرا آنان در کارهای نیک شتاب می‌نمودند و ما را از روی رغبت و بیم می‌خواندند و در برابر ما فروتن بودند.

Biz de ona icabet ederek, Yahya'yı bahşetmiş, eşini de doğum yapacak hale getirmiştik. Doğrusu onlar iyi işlerde yarışıyorlar, korkarak ve umarak Bize yalvarıyorlardı. Bize karşı gönülden saygı duyuyorlardı.

Maka Kami memperkenankan doanya, dan Kami anugerahkan kepada nya Yahya dan Kami jadikan isterinya dapat mengandung. Sesungguhnya mereka adalah orang-orang yang selalu bersegera dalam (mengerjakan) perbuatan-perbuatan yang baik dan mereka berdoa kepada Kami dengan harap dan cemas. Dan mereka adalah orang-orang yang khusyu' kepada Kami.

تو ہم نے ان کی دعا کو بھی قبول کرلیا اور انہیں یحیٰی علیھ السّلام جیسا فرزند عطا کردیا اور ان کی زوجہ کو صالحہ بنادیا کہ یہ تمام وہ تھے جو نیکیوں کی طرف سبقت کرنے والے تھے اور رغبت اور خوف کے ہر عالم میں ہم ہی کو پکارنے والے تھے اور ہماری بارگاہ میں گڑ گڑا کر الِتجا کرنے والے بندے تھے

অতঃপর আমি তার দোয়া কবুল করেছিলাম, তাকে দান করেছিলাম ইয়াহইয়া এবং তার জন্যে তার স্ত্রীকে প্রসব যোগ্য করেছিলাম। তারা সৎকর্মে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ত, তারা আশা ও ভীতি সহকারে আমাকে ডাকত এবং তারা ছিল আমার কাছে বিনীত।
