So the angels called him while he was standing in prayer in the chamber, "Indeed, Allah gives you good tidings of John, confirming a word from Allah and [who will be] honorable, abstaining [from women], and a prophet from among the righteous."

Then, as he stood praying in the sanctuary the angels called out to him: ‘Allah gives you the good news of John, as a confirmer of a Word of Allah, eminent and chaste, a prophet, and one of the righteous.’

And the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: Allah giveth thee glad tidings of (a son whose name is) John, (who cometh) to confirm a word from Allah lordly, chaste, a prophet of the righteous.

While he was standing in prayer in the chamber, the angels called unto him: "Allah doth give thee glad tidings of Yahya, witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah, and (be besides) noble, chaste, and a prophet,- of the (goodly) company of the righteous."

And the angels called to him, standing in the Sanctuary at worship, 'Lo, God gives thee good tidings of John, who shall confirm a Word of God, a chief, and chaste, a Prophet, righteous.'

پس فرشتگان، او را در حالی که در محراب عبادت به نماز ایستاده بود، ندا دادند که خدا تو را به یحیی بشارت می دهد که تصدیق کننده کلمه ای از سوی خدا [یعنی مسیح] است و سرور و پیشوا، و [از روی زهد و حیا] نگاهدار خود از مُشتهیات نفسانی، و پیامبری از شایستگان است.

پس در حالی که وی ایستاده [و] در محراب [خود] دعا می‌کرد، فرشتگان، او را ندا دردادند که: خداوند تو را به [ولادت‌] یحیی -که تصدیق کننده [حقانیت‌] کلمة الله [=عیسی‌] است، و بزرگوار و خویشتندار [=پرهیزنده از آنان‌] و پیامبری از شایستگان است- مژده می‌دهد.

Mabedde namaz kılarken melekler ona seslendiler: "Allah sana Allah'ın emriyle (vücud bulan İsa'yı) tasdik eden, efendi, iffetli, iyilerden bir peygamber olarak Yahya'yı müjdeler".

Kemudian Malaikat (Jibril) memanggil Zakariya, sedang ia tengah berdiri melakukan shalat di mihrab (katanya): "Sesungguhnya Allah menggembirakan kamu dengan kelahiran (seorang puteramu) Yahya, yang membenarkan kalimat (yang datang) dari Allah, menjadi ikutan, menahan diri (dari hawa nafsu) dan seorang Nabi termasuk keturunan orang-orang saleh".

تو ملائکہ نے انہیں اس وقت آواز دی جب وہ محراب میں کھڑے مصرورِ عبادت تھے کہ خدا تمہیں یحیٰی علیھ السّلام کی بشارت دے رہا ہے جو اس کے کلمہ کی تصدیق کرنے والا, سردار, پاکیزہ کردار اور صالحین میں سے نبی ہوگا

যখন তিনি কামরার ভেতরে নামাযে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন, তখন ফেরেশতারা তাঁকে ডেকে বললেন যে, আল্লাহ তোমাকে সুসংবাদ দিচ্ছেন ইয়াহইয়া সম্পর্কে, যিনি সাক্ষ্য দেবেন আল্লাহর নির্দেশের সত্যতা সম্পর্কে, যিনি নেতা হবেন এবং নারীদের সংস্পর্শে যাবেন না, তিনি অত্যন্ত সৎকর্মশীল নবী হবেন।
