وَإِذْ عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَىٰ مَن إِنَّ وَإِنَّهُۥ ﴿١٦٧﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And [mention] when your Lord declared that He would surely [continue to] send upon them until the Day of Resurrection those who would afflict them with the worst torment. Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful.

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

بهود روی آرامش را نخواهد دید

مفسران در تفسیر این آیه» احتمالات فراوانی داده‌اند. بعضی گفته‌اند منظور این است که این گروه سرکش» هرگز روی آرامش کامل را نخواهند دید و هر چند برای خود حکومت و دولّتی تأسیس کنندء باز هم تحت فشار و ناراحتی مداوم خواهند بود؛ مگر این که به‌راستی روش خود را تغییر دهند و دست از ظلم و فساد بکشند. بعضی نیز گفته‌اند که منظور از این آیه» عالم برزخ است و منظور از «کسی که تا دامنةٌ قیامت آنها را عذاب کند» فرشتگان عذاب هستند که در عالم برزخ تا قیامت آنها را عذاب می‌کنند.
