And do not marry polytheistic women until they believe. And a believing slave woman is better than a polytheist, even though she might please you. And do not marry polytheistic men [to your women] until they believe. And a believing slave is better than a polytheist, even though he might please you. Those invite [you] to the Fire, but Allah invites to Paradise and to forgiveness, by His permission. And He makes clear His verses to the people that perhaps they may remember.

Do not marry idolatresses until they embrace faith. A faithful slave girl is better than an idolatress, though she should impress you. And do not marry [your daughters] to idolaters until they embrace faith. A faithful slave is better than an idolater, though he should impress you. Those invite [others] to the Fire, but Allah invites to paradise and pardon, by His will, and He clarifies His signs for the people so that they may take admonition.

Wed not idolatresses till they believe; for lo! a believing bondwoman is better than an idolatress though she please you; and give not your daughters in marriage to idolaters till they believe, for lo! a believing slave is better than an idolater though he please you. These invite unto the Fire, and Allah inviteth unto the Garden, and unto forgiveness by His grace, and expoundeth His revelations to mankind that haply they may remember.

Do not marry unbelieving women (idolaters), until they believe: A slave woman who believes is better than an unbelieving woman, even though she allures you. Nor marry (your girls) to unbelievers until they believe: A man slave who believes is better than an unbeliever, even though he allures you. Unbelievers do (but) beckon you to the Fire. But Allah beckons by His Grace to the Garden (of bliss) and forgiveness, and makes His Signs clear to mankind: That they may celebrate His praise.

Do not marry idolatresses, until they believe; a believing slavegirl is better than an idolatress, though you may admire her. And do not marry idolaters, until they believe. A believing slave is better than an idolater, though you may admire him. Those call unto the Fire; and God calls unto Paradise, and pardon, by His leave, and He makes clear His signs to the people; haply they will remember.

و با زنان مشرک ازدواج نکنید تا زمانی که ایمان بیاورند. قطعاً کنیز با ایمان از زن آزاد مشرک بهتر است، هر چند [زیبایی، مال و موقعیت او] شما را خوش آید. و زنان با ایمان را به ازدواج مردان مشرک در نیاورید تا زمانی که ایمان بیاورند. مسلماً برده با ایمان از مرد آزاد مشرک بهتر است، هر چند [جمال، مال و منال او] شما را خوش آید. اینان [که مشرکند، نه تنها مردم، بلکه بی رحمانه زن و فرزند خود را] به سوی آتش می خوانند، و خدا به توفیق خود به سوی بهشت و آمرزش دعوت می کند، و آیاتش را برای مردم بیان می فرماید تا متذکّر شوند.

و با زنان مشرک ازدواج مکنید، تا ایمان بیاورند. قطعاً کنیز با ایمان بهتر از زن مشرک است، هر چند [زیبایی‌] او شما را به شگفت آورد. و به مردان مشرک زن مدهید تا ایمان بیاورند. قطعاً برده با ایمان بهتر از مرد آزاد مشرک است، هر چند شما را به شگفت آورد. آنان [شما را] به سوی آتش فرا می‌خوانند، و خدا به فرمان خود، [شما را] به سوی بهشت و آمرزش می‌خواند، و آیات خود را برای مردم روشن می‌گرداند، باشد که متذکر شوند.

Allah'a eş koşan kadınlarla onlar imana gelinceye kadar evlenmeyin. İnanan bir cariye, hoşunuza gitse de ortak koşan bir kadından daha iyidir. İnanmalarına kadar; ortak koşan erkeklerle mümin kadınları evlendirmeyin. İnanan bir köle, hoşunuza gitmiş olsa da, ortak koşan bir erkekten daha iyidir. İşte onlar ateşe çağırırlar, Allah ise izniyle cennete ve mağfirete çağırır ve insanlara ibret alsınlar diye ayetlerini açıklar.

Dan janganlah kamu menikahi wanita-wanita musyrik, sebelum mereka beriman. Sesungguhnya wanita budak yang mukmin lebih baik dari wanita musyrik, walaupun dia menarik hatimu. Dan janganlah kamu menikahkan orang-orang musyrik (dengan wanita-wanita mukmin) sebelum mereka beriman. Sesungguhnya budak yang mukmin lebih baik dari orang musyrik, walaupun dia menarik hatimu. Mereka mengajak ke neraka, sedang Allah mengajak ke surga dan ampunan dengan izin-Nya. Dan Allah menerangkan ayat-ayat-Nya (perintah-perintah-Nya) kepada manusia supaya mereka mengambil pelajaran.

خبردار مشرک عورتوں سے اس وقت تک نکاح نہ کرنا جب تک ایمان نہ لے آئیں کہ ایک مومن کنیز مشرک آزاد عورت سے بہتر ہے چاہے وہ تمہیں کتنی ہی بھلی معلوم ہو اورمشرکین کو بھی لڑکیاں نہ دینا جب تک مسلمان نہ ہوجائیں کہ مسلمان غلام آزاد مشرک سے بہتر ہے چاہے وہ تمہیں کتنا ہی اچھا کیوں نہ معلوم ہو. یہ مشرکین تمہیں جہّنم کی دعوت دیتے ہیں اور خدا اپنے حکم سے جنّت اورمغفرت کی دعوت دیتا ہے اور اپنی آیتوں کو واضح کرکے بیان کرتاہے کہ شاید یہ لوگ سمجھ سکیں

আর তোমরা মুশরেক নারীদেরকে বিয়ে করোনা, যতক্ষণ না তারা ঈমান গ্রহণ করে। অবশ্য মুসলমান ক্রীতদাসী মুশরেক নারী অপেক্ষা উত্তম, যদিও তাদেরকে তোমাদের কাছে ভালো লাগে। এবং তোমরা (নারীরা) কোন মুশরেকের সঙ্গে বিবাহ বন্ধনে আবদ্ধ হয়ো না, যে পর্যন্ত সে ঈমান না আনে। একজন মুসলমান ক্রীতদাসও একজন মুশরেকের তুলনায় অনেক ভাল, যদিও তোমরা তাদের দেখে মোহিত হও। তারা দোযখের দিকে আহ্বান করে, আর আল্লাহ নিজের হুকুমের মাধ্যমে আহ্বান করেন জান্নাত ও ক্ষমার দিকে। আর তিনি মানুষকে নিজের নির্দেশ বাতলে দেন যাতে তারা উপদেশ গ্রহণ করে।
