لِّلَّذِينَ لِلَّذِينَ لَا بِمَا ﴿١٤﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

Say, [O Muhammad], to those who have believed that they [should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allah so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

کسانی را که به ایام‌الثه امید ندارندء مورد عفو قرار دهید

این یه در مکه نازل شده و در ادامة آیات قبل قرار گرفته که حال مستکبران و مسخره‌کنندگان آیات خدا را بیان می‌کند و ایشان را به شدیدترین عذاب تهدید می‌نماید. گویا موّمنان وقتی به این‌گونه افراد می‌رسیدند که در طعنه زدن و توهین به پیامبر(ص) از حد می‌گذرانده‌اند و می‌دیدند که آنها یات خدا را ریشخند می‌کنند. اختیار خود را از دست می‌دادند و در مقام دفاع از کتاب خدا و پیامبر(ص) بر می‌آمدند و از کافران می‌خواستند دست از این کارها بردارند و به خدا و پیامبر(ص) ایمان بیاورند؛ غافل از این‌که آن کافران به خاطر لجاجت و تکبرشان» مشمول فرمان عذاب الی شده‌اند و هدایت نخواهند شد. به همین جهت» خداوند به پیامبر(ص) دستور می‌دهد که به این موّمنان اعلام کند که باید مشرکان نام‌برده را عفو کنند و متعرض حال ایشان نشوند؛ برای این‌که به زودی به کیفر اعمال خود خواهند رسید.
