And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.

Good and evil [conduct] are not equal. Repel [evil] with what is best. [If you do so,] he between whom and you was enmity, will then be as though he were a sympathetic friend.

The good deed and the evil deed are not alike. Repel the evil deed with one which is better, then lo! he, between whom and thee there was enmity (will become) as though he was a bosom friend.

Nor can goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (Evil) with what is better: Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate!

Not equal are the good deed and the evil deed. Repel with that which is fairer and behold, he between whom and thee there is enmity shall be as if he were a loyal friend.

نیکی و بدی یکسان نیست. [بدی را] با بهترین شیوه دفع کن؛ [با این برخورد متین و نیک] ناگاه کسی که میان تو و او دشمنی است [چنان شود] که گویی دوستی نزدیک و صمیمی است.

و نیکی با بدی یکسان نیست. [بدی را] آنچه خود بهتر است دفع کن؛ آنگاه کسی که میان تو و میان او دشمنی است، گویی دوستی یکدل می‌گردد.

İyilik ve fenalık bir değildir. Ey inanan kişi: Sen, fenalığı en güzel şekilde sav; o zaman, seninle arasında düşmanlık bulunan kişinin yakın bir dost gibi olduğunu görürsün.

Dan tidaklah sama kebaikan dan kejahatan. Tolaklah (kejahatan itu) dengan cara yang lebih baik, maka tiba-tiba orang yang antaramu dan antara dia ada permusuhan seolah-olah telah menjadi teman yang sangat setia.

نیکی اور برائی برابر نہیں ہوسکتی لہٰذا تم برائی کا جواب بہترین طریقہ سے دو کہ اس طرح جس کے اور تمہارے درمیان عداوت ہے وہ بھی ایسا ہوجائے گا جیسے گہرا دوست ہوتا ہے

সমান নয় ভাল ও মন্দ। জওয়াবে তাই বলুন যা উৎকৃষ্ট। তখন দেখবেন আপনার সাথে যে ব্যক্তির শুত্রুতা রয়েছে, সে যেন অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু।
